QuoteYou can get Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper over here.

I like this, but I don't understand why they only make the diet version. There was a regular version, but it had a limited run (75 days) and you can't find it anywhere now. Is nobody drinking non-diet sodas anymore?

No votes for Lemon Coke. There's got to be someone out there drinking it apart from chand's dad!

I'm not sure if we are compatible in other ways but I couldn't marry a man who prefers Pepsi to Coca Cola. I'll drink Pepsi in KFC as I don't like Tango but I would never buy it otherwise.
I suggest we pencil in a date for our wedding though.

QuoteBecause there's more gas in them

i grasped that much dude, i was kinda driving to the reason as to WHY they have more gas in them?

Peking O

People like a drink with more gas in it sometimes?

i'm giving up whilst i still have a low blood pessure.

Aspartame casues intestinal gas. If you consume too much of it you can actually get diarrhea (among other things).

Meaningless trivia: the Chinese term for "soft drink" can be translated as "gas water."

Cerys

Aspartame is also an evil chemical which can cause symptoms not unlike those of Parkinson's, Motor Neurone Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis.  My conclusion: avoid diet drinks at all costs.  Not much point for me, but you can still save yourselves.

Edit - just rechecked, and I was probably wrong about the Parkinson's and MND.  See here for more info.

I have a strong physical dependency on Coke. I've got through at least 5 cans a day every day for the past 18 years or so.

But I only drink it because my favourite drink, Fanta Grape, seems to be available everywhere in the world except the UK.

Wayhey, I've pulled! I'll get on the phone to my mum and tell her to buy a new hat.

Warning: Awfully boring anecdote approaching...
I was in Nando's last night with Suttonpubcrawl and because we're pikey student fuckers between us we only bought one of those bottomless soft drinks they do. Of course he wanted Diet Coke so I had to endure that for a while, but then I made him have Real Coke and he actually preferred it! A victory!

FUCKING SUCK BACK DUDE!!!! i thought i was bad but you just take the fucking biscuit man, enjoy what teeth you have Cheers.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

I love fizzy drinks but I don't think I could keep up anything that sustained. I prefer to have them occassionally. Regularly I like tap water, apple juice, blackcurrant juice. Surely drinking coke all the time takes away the fact that it's a tasty drink. It must be like drinking water for you.*

*You are exempt from criticism if your local water supply is suspect and are forced into drinking canned products to bypass cholera. Chances are slim though, I'm guessing.

Chers penis

I only drink either pepsi or milk, i guess the thinking is the cancel each other out.

Dark Sky

Cummon, everyone, Pepsi taste better than Coke.

It's actually true.  I read it in a book once about Coca-Cola at school.

Pepsi did a blind taste test to see whether more people preferred the taste of Pepsi-Cola or Coca-Cola.  They found that more people preferred the taste of Pepsi.

After publishing the results, Coca-Cola decided that it was obviously nonsense, and so did their own blind taste test.  They also discovered that most people prefer the taste of Pepsi.

So up yours, Coca-Cola.  That'll teach you for making such fucking horrible adverts.

I think people get confused because so many pubs serve Pepsi rather than Coke, and quite often don't even tell you.

I personally don't like any Cola.  Or indeed, any fizzy drinks.  Or ice cream.  Or fireworks.  I have better things to entertain myself.  Like chocolate and porn.

I know this test. You failed to add how people preferred Coca Cola over Pepsi when asked to consume a  whole can, simply because it is less gassy than Pepsi (and Virgin Cola) over time wheras Pepsi, whilst being sweeter and more acceptable to a first taste is less subtle than Coca Cola.

Yes, the Coca Cola company are utter bastards, but their original product is pretty damn spotless. I had a discussion with my tastebuds and they agreed.

I'm sure you're right "generally" but a mate's girlfriend used to work in Pizza Hut - she said that she was driven absolutely insane because the management insisted that she say "...We serve Pepsi, is that OK?" every time someone asked for "Coke", which of course, almost everyone did.

Coke is just ridiculously sugary. I usually feel sick after a can, never mind a bottle. The only Coke products I drink are Cherry Coke and Red Fanta, I far prefer Pepsi.

Except Pepsi Max which is disgusting beyond words. It has nothing to it at all.

The king of all soft drinks will always be Cherry 7Up though. A glorious beverage which has been MIA for far too long. Our local Spar very occasionally has a can or two in stock and I make sure to buy them up immediately.

As a tip the Mango and Passion Fruit fizzy drink from Marks and Sparks is lovely too. Only 65p a bottle too.

Can't argue with you there. Fucking marvellous it is. I prefer it to actual 7UP too. By a mile.

Suttonpubcrawl

Ooh yes, Cherry 7 Up is a favourite of mine and I don't even like soft drinks that much.

edit: This stuff is the most delicious drink in the world though:

Only 11 votes for Vanilla Coke?  Shame on you all.

To be honest, though, I've come up with an alternative plan to simply complaining to Coke - perhaps I should instead pressure Pepsi into making a Vanilla version of their beverage.   It kind of makes sense, and I'm not really that fussy.

Diet Cherry Coke at LAST!

As long as they keep that and Diet Lime Coke I'll be happy.

Traitor.  Turncoat to the vanilla cause.  You make me sick.

Apparently in America next year Diet Black Cherry Vanilla Coke is being released. That sounds like a taste sensation...

There's no Pepsi Vanilla in the UK? We've had it here in the U.S. since 2003. Maybe it didn't do well enough to warrant an international release, or something.

QuoteWe serve Pepsi, is that OK
they do the same thing in wetherspoons, they've had pepsi for over a year and they still have to say it. when i worked there i must have drank two litres a day of the stuff, in the end i was suffering with insomnia and my teeth were starting to cry.
