Limmy's still on Twitter and webcam

Limmy describing the pile of cookies from Dominoes as looking like "someone's spunked in a pile of dogshite" just gave me my biggest laugh of the new year so far

Retinend

It's weird to think that they've already been split up so long. I guess the autobiography was published with a somewhat deceptive ending there (that he fixed his suicidal tendencies, drink addiction and has a new lease on life and his marriage) ...the truth wouldn't have made for a very good denouement...

Limmy seems like a nightmare for a woman to live with, honestly - I was disappointed at him that he had this to say to his viewers on the topic of "socialising" on the same day as the above tweets:

It's purely antisocial thinking. As if, when he was dating her, he was just pretending to be this fun, considerate person, when in reality he views all social interaction as transactional. If it involves another person, and it's not exactly what he wants to do, it's soul-crushing.

Cuellar

Point of information, I don't think they were ever married.

So Five Dates was more of a fact-finding mission I suppose.

"Right, so DON'T tell them that they 'don't have a real job', got it"

Retinend's post seems like a bit of a stretch I think, Limmy talks about how from afar he likes how it looks when he sees people socialising in big groups and enjoying themselves but when he actually takes part and does it he doesn't have a good time. I think not doing something because you don't enjoy it is different to not doing something because he views everything as 'transactional'.

Also, while they were dating he may well have been a different person, people change throughout their life and he often has talked about stories from when he was travelling, whereas now he seems very comfortable with being at home consistently and has found his comfort zone.

That's going to be shit for someone you're in relationship with and loved you for how you were, but then again it's also the reason so many marriages and relationships end, the gradual drifting apart as people evolve (or regress), and it feels a bit off to beat Limmy up too much for that.

bgmnts

Socialising does tend to be tedious soul crushing shite to be fair to him.

GMTV

If he admits to doing very little around the house and doesn't want to socialise, then maybe she's thought what am I actually gaining from this relationship, and decided to end it.

Wean soon to be turned against him (edit should've checked that had already been covered, obviously since its a penalty kick).

The Guppy

Maybe he's planning to do some wean-turning of his own!

Shit. No one tell my missus that this is an option!

Saw a bit of a recent stream and I'm tempted to get Dying Light. I enjoyed/got depressed by Dead Island and this looks like a cross between old Assassins Creed and the former.

Limmy's a real panicker isn't he.

Jesus, maybe Limmy dodged a bullet.

Seriously though, seeing a few clips from streams recently, here
and here
, you can see how this is having a negative effect on his self-worth and I hope he can get over it reasonably. Doesn't deserve it does he.

bgmnts

Yeah there is one youtube channel that posts lots of videos of clips where he talks about Lynn.

Is he talking about Lynn a lot more now or is that channel just digging for stuff?

It looks like the original tweet is deleted, but these were the replies, so guessing it was something a bit rum.

Captain Z

It was a screencap of a cringeworthy pun on a supposed Indian Covid variant and Indian food. Very much "2020 called, it wants your uncle's WhatsApp messages back".

DigForVictory

It was something like an Indian Covid variant putting you in a Korma and your Naan being upset.

It doesn't seem that offensive or bad to me , maybe it is I dunno,  but it was just fucking shite.

If someone subbed to Limmy's twitch with that kind of patter he'd be all over them with abuse.

Jerzy Bondov

Speaking from experience let's be careful slagging off his ex because if they get back together it will be very awkward

Custard

Surprised Lynn posted something like that, no matter the intention behind it, as she clearly uses Twitter daily so knows the reaction it'd get. Strange

What's more shocking is that she backed doon rather than doubling doon.

thegammonboys

Not to be a cunt but I did some digging into the Twitter guy Limmy mentioned in the video. He and Lynn have had quite a few back and forths in January. This guy recommends that she visits an exhibition in Glasgow with her son Daniel and she's posting a photo of herself at the thing THE SAME day. He's in an 'indie' band and looks a bit like Limmy. Take of that what you will.

Whether anything is going on or not, it makes it all the more disrespectful that this mutual friend, who is praising Limmy's stuff, is then being derided by Lynn to limmy's face. "See this guy I like chatting to on Twitter who you know as well, well he thought you were funny but I watched it at his request and thought it was shite." What the fuck? The worst part is, he either makes plans to kick her out or move, at which point their son is dealing with separated parents, or they stay and Limmy's mental state gets worse dealing with this person who quite frankly seems immature.

The Guppy

Yeah, this is literally nobody's business but theirs.

selectivememory

Yeah, can we not do this please. Let's mind our own business.

He's such an open book, and given so much detail on his private life its difficult to resist doing a bit of curtain twitching.

RickyHamster

Limmy drama, love it.

Katercakes over the Atlantic as we speak.

Noodle Lizard

I remember a couple of years back, after I'd read his autobiography, finding it a bit weird that Lynn had posted something on Twitter complaining about friends going sober and becoming boring. Innocent enough, probably, but seems like a weird thing to put out there when your partner is a recovering alkie and has no choice but to "be boring" (or, at least, the other choice is destructive, suicidal behaviour).

That's about the extent of my commentary on this bit of drama.

MrsWarboysLover

Reading his autobiography, unlike those book reviewers Limmy listened to, I felt a great sense of empathy for him. I just hope everyone involved is doing ok.

Thomas

I watch Limmy's sketches and clips occasionally, but I don't know much about his personal life. Seeing those 'Lynn' (a name I only learned today) clips snipped out of a livestream, like jigsaw pieces in a TV mystery to be solved, is a bit uncanny. I see one of them has been removed now.

One of the consequences of a Limmy-like online presence - whilst enjoyable and amusing - is that it inadvertently nurtures this sort of parasocial environment down in the comments and replies.

I know someone who's spent the last couple of years getting big into Twitching, and they seem to occupy this undefined, Brentian liminal space between Friend, Entertainer, and Boss. Keeping an eye on them to make sure they don't go totally mad.
