Actually I will expand.  Things do not become untrue just because they come through the twitter accounts of people you don't like, Phillips whilst annoying and a self-publicist also isn't the worst person in the world and does actually have some socialist principles in her - this is obvious.  A lot of this is overkill with her.

On her point she is right I don't think May would have engaged in this, May was someone who told us all her naughtiest childhood act was running through fields of wheat and the thing about it was it was completely believable, she has type 1 diabetes and so I imagine doesn't hit the booze hard herself - and would have been so paranoid of being destroyed over it wouldn't have let it happen or at least been involved in it.  The reply tweet has a lot of validity unless you are now saying sexism doesn't exist in the establishment?

It might have happened under May because she was incompetent and nobody cared what she said, but she wouldn't have actively encouraged and condoned it like Johnson. She was much more from the the Criminal Justice and Public Order school of Tories.

Agree. But given that there are so many other personality and management style differences between May and Johnson, it is hard to ascertain how much of this hypothetical situation is down to sexism and how much due to other factors.

I don't think Corbyn would have got away with it on similar hypothetical level to May. Brown probably would struggle as well although could see Blair perfectly getting away with it better than Bojo.

But you are mixing up left-wingers and right-wingers something the tweeters are doing - they are saying May in comparison to Johnson, in relation to her sex would mean she would never have thought she would get away with it.  I think by the very fact that we've only ever had 2 female PMs is evidence to this.
