My favourite little French new wave indie pop song ever. It's like something from a French-speaking John Hughes movie, La folle journée de Ferris Bueller.

It's about a twenty-year-old girl in love and all her dreams ahead of her. Later, she's a thirty-year-old mum and he's left and she's in despair, gets on the piss. Then she's forty, a smacked up prostitute, and she decides to kill herself in an ambulance. It finishes with an incantation to God. "Have you really done your best if your angels don't want to grow old?"

Elle part,
Jolie petite histoire.

Gorgeous little guitar tone and catchy, uplifting but bittersweet mood, perfectly captures the exact kind of sentimentality for which I'm renowned among my friends.

Merry Christmas.
