Napalm Records (and their funnier bands)

Don't know how I happened upon these fellows, but I'm a big fan of Feuerschwanz. Started off as a folk metal band, who decided to inject humour into their songs because they were bored of how po-faced many of the other bands in that area were. Since signing with Napalm Records a few years ago, they've moved into more normal heavy metal stuff, but there's still a very strong element of comedy in their music. They did a rather brilliant cover of "Ding", by fellow German reggae-rap group Seeed, which has a fun video:

I've discovered this music pretty much entirely through videos. For instance, Nanowar Of Steel and their delightful "Norwegian Reggaeton", where they give dancing a fair shake, and have great lines like "let's desecrate the tomb, to the rhythm of the rhumba" (which rhymes in Norwegian).

Napalm's other bands seem spread across all the genres, but it's the overblown symphonic-style that I really like. Plus bands like Jinjer, who sound like they have two vocalists - the sweet stuff and the screaming - but it's the same person. Alestorm are on Napalm too.

Do you also like a bit of this sort of thing? Dungeons and Dragons references in your metal, Abba covers, all that?
