New telly is obviously good but I'm currently full of Alan.  I haven't yet finished the last audiobook and I'd struggle to tell you what it was called.  They may benefit from easing off on the hours and hours of content.

Not that I wish to taint or derail this thread with OFT (Our Favourite Transphobe), but making that Partridge clip above reminded me that I had "AIan" Partridge read some of Linehan's awful book, and they turned out brilliant, if I say so myself — mostly because Graham's self-pitying screed of bitterness gels so well with Alan's voice.

I like the idea of an Alan-written fiction much better than I suspect the execution would be, based mostly on the Garth Marenghi books, which didn't work in long-form for me. But I would like to see an episode of Swallow, which I anticipate would have a pleasing Darkplace/Comrade Detective knowingness.

I would happily just have more of the same documentary and podcast stuff but it would be great to see something a bit different. The Swallow idea seems so brilliantly obvious you have to assume they have at least considered it. But even if they didn't do that it would be nice to see something approaching a more 'conventional' sitcom even if it is still using the mockumentary style.

Something centered around The Partridge Players. Alans attempts at play writing have been some of the funniest parts of the Gibbons era. The William and Kate bit and 'The Glowering Glassblower'. And the format would allow them to have a bigger cast. They could then incorporate loads of the Norwich locals we've heard about in the books and audio but never seen. Have The Boxley Wheatsheaf and it's regulars play a big part. Still have Lynn and Simon featuring. Putting on a play for the locals could be the central story of the series but there'd be plenty of opportunity for Alan to just be going around doing Alan things.

The more I think about it the more I think it should definitely happen. There's so much material already waiting to be expanded on and out on screen. I assume the documentary Portillo/Coast/magazine show style is cheaper to make? But why wouldn't they want throw money at this? It could be budgeted at slightly more than something like The Detectorists?

I did it myself, but it was easy since there was so much clear, high-quality Partridge available from the audiobooks.

Edit: Sorry, I misunderstood. I did use a public model, Elevenlabs, but I input all the samples and did the tweaks and stuff.

The only Partridge idea I've ever had that I'd like to see happen is another book: not a memoir for a bloody change but a Dirty Dozen inspired military escapade or Bond-style espionage thriller as written by Alan. So - obvious insert characters, petty grievances/point scoring, odd minutiae and the narrative occasionally pointing out how clever it thinks it's being. Do it, Gibbo-Coogan. Especially the audiobook version,

The Garth Marenghi in-character book must have given a few IP holders some ideas.
