Cold Meat Platter

Doing gammon Hitler moaning about political correctness on Comedy Vehicle and the time traveller battering Eldon's finned cunt back into the sea before being beheaded by sea beast and pirouetting about a bit, also from Comedy vehicle.

Clearly saying "Fuck all" with a mouthful of sausage roll as Gary Putner at lunchtime on a sunday in the Ironic Revue on TMWRNJ, no real feat in this age of 24/7 necro dog's-bum lobster-pot porn but in the late 90s it caused a significant dropping of monocles.

Glebe

I wish there was a better quality version available of the Comic Relief Blankety Blank piss-take (yes, that's Serafinowicz Wogan in me current av!), in which PP cameos as a prize chauffeur!:

If it's not taken already, he should rent the domain putnernet.com to hilarious results!

P.P himself said on Twitter recently that he's got a much better quality version and should get round to uploading it to YouTube. It's such a brilliant sketch and I'd love to see it again in a version that didn't look like I'm watching it before rubbing the remnants of last night's sleep from my eyes.

Though that is Perry Benson. One of the best bits in the show.

Paul's done a couple of Cheapshows with Paul Gannon and Eli Silverman recently btw. great long-form arsing about for a long drive or whatever (my preferred way to consume a pod)

I had a feeling I was remembering that wrong. Fucking idiot.

He was fucking brilliant when he performed as Frankie Tan.

"Can I be frank with you?"

Quote from: Minami Minegishi on August 12, 2023, 04:02:48 PMThank you for starting a thread to celebrate rather than describing him as cringe. I nearly bumped a 8-year old Kevin Eldon thread to get rid of that other thread whose title makes me sad.

YES. I'm still thinking of bumping that necrothread for precisely the same reason. Putner is fucking brilliant and Eldon is fucking brilliant. Can't all their threads be like this?

The episode of Smershpod where he comes on to talk about The Long Good Friday is one of the best episodes of that podcast ever. His Bob Hoskins impression is incredible.

honestly not a huge Smershpod fan but this was a really lovely pod, Putner brimming with good humour and genuine love for the subject matter.

Someone in the other thread mentioned Nebulous. It's my favourite radio comedy, and Putner as Harry is indeed a highlight.

UNLIKE YOU PROFESSOR, I NO LONGER HAVE THE LUXURY OF A CHINNNN.

Really love the episode when Nebulous travels back in time to see a pre-disfigurement Harry.

That was Perry Benson.

Mark Lamarr as the violent street performer was great too.

I like him as the officiator of the 'trigger falling through the bar' ceremony on SLCV.

"it's a good day and there's no harm in it."
"i didnt say there was any harm in it"
"Good. Because there isn't."
