Wilfred Brambell as Alice B Toklas and Bernard Cribbins as Gertrude Stein. Brambell does something amazing 1.29 in.  Sounds like a Europudding of a film, but 88% on Rotten Tomatoes.

It's a genuinely excellent film. Very funny and very clever; also, for me, it's one that rewards multiple watches.

How funny, I had never heard of Alice Toklas until this morning thanks to Ade Edmondson's Out To Lunch podcast... and here she is again, played by Old Man Steptoe!
