I wish -- my university is so far up this government's arse you can see them peeping from behind the Javid's uvula whenever he opens his mouth. Immediately after the PM's announcement, our senior management sent out an email that it's business as usual on campus from the 4th, with a live Open Day scheduled for a week or so after that. My head of dept keeps insisting on face to face dept meetings, all 30 of us crammed into a small meeting room --but it's ok, he'll crack a window and request that people wear masks. I've got this one mad PhD student who absolutely refuses Teams meetings, and is also demanding that she meets with us live for our January catch up. Christ on a bicycle.
