Anyone remember Bernard Braden?

He had a programme called 'On The Braden Beat' late on Saturday night in the 1960s - it later became 'Braden's Week'. A mix of news stuff and interesting items - I really looked forward to it. Included Peter Cook doing his E L Wisty character (I think that's where it first appeared).  Braden's researcher was a woman called...Esther Rantzen. She took the show's format and turned it into the (IMO) much inferior 'That's Life'.

I've always thought Braden was one of the most talented people we've ever had on British TV.

Remember him well,as part of my TV history! Pity,as has been said already, that after he went, he was 'replaced' with the awful Esther Rantzen.
