Update of the 15 year old case of 14 year old Andrew Gosden who randomly went to London from Doncaster and was never seen again. Seems the police are renewing interest in the original suspects. Seems they are looking through their current devices, for what purpose who knows, but it will take up to a year to analyse somehow.

Presumably groomed and trafficked and all that lovely stuff but I always find it weird when they go back to the suspects of a cold case because they have some new evidence. How do you get new evidence as time goes on? Obviously DNA etc but DNA stuff was presumably in full swing by 2007, best it's going to be.

Awww I hoped this lil mosher was still alive somewhere. ThatChapter made it sound like there was still hope, some weird instant messages or something a decade later. I mean they could've kidnapped him and released him maybe.. The human trafficking arrest is at least a glimmer of hope

God knows maybe he could be it's a very weird case of someone disappearing into thin air.

It's obviously frustrating sometimes because there is usually so much the public isn't allowed to know for whatever reason.

the technology gets better all the time so it could also be a case of re-examining something, getting new samples off an old suspect, a lot of shite.

Yeah that's true although in this case it's surely not a question of DNA but something on a device. And you wanna know how it's connected and what the fuck the police have?

Bit random and not a true crime thing per se but thought it was interesting anyway. There have always been little Anne Frank updates and I suppose we'll never really know what happened but I suppose if her memory lives on that can only be a good thing.

Youtube been reccomending me stuff from Fascinating Horror and Bedtime Stories of late, both of which seem to have a fair bit of this sort of thing. I think the algorithms went there from the convergence of me being subscribed to some podcasts that cover big disasters and stuff and that getting linked to missing ships.

Sadly Bedtime Stories is complete bollocks for the most part. I tapped out too after they put up a story about Native Americans in a specific town brutally murdering a priest that they ID'd by name... and it didn't happen. He never existed. Total slander they either didn't fact check or didn't care to.

I can't say I'd noticed obvious bollocks in the ones I'd watched but it did feel it was missing something.

There's also that Simon Whistler who seems to have several channels, there's something I don't like about him but can't put my finger on what it is.

A lot of these are just crap grief merchants disturb porn. Crap affected voice, generic spooky music etc.

Their account of Borley Rectory was complete bollocks -- even at the time Borley Rectory's "haunting" was outed as a hoax in the very same report that accounted its "hauntings".

Popping into my head after reading this thread is "Black Mass", an alleged video of a Black Mass from 1928, showing mucky business, cocks, fannies, the lot. It seems to have fooled enough people that IMDB has it as 1928, there's a few scholarly-sounding reviews of it...only problem is, there's zero evidence of anyone having seen it before it was included on a DVD in 2007. And it looks fuck all like it was actually filmed in 1928, despite the best efforts of the people making it.

It can be found by searching "Black Mass 1928", but make sure you've got your malware blockers in place as it's hosted on a bunch of porno sites.

Not seen this mentioned so far. I find this case fascinating and very disturbing.

Alps murders: Man released without charge over 2012 killings

I was hopeful this would lead to somewhere but looks not. Good to hear they are still putting effort in to the case.
