Labour Party - Any other leader would be 20 points ahead

Would you agree that Blair-Brown's economic policies were never, in fact, all that popular down the "economic lines" that traditionally supported labour, and that unpopularity was covered by the fact that Blair's reactionary positions on crime, iraq, etc won him public support from the right wing press, which objectively got him measurable boosts in elections?

I've always found the notion that abandoning socialist policy being the reason for Blair's support (something trotted out by Campbell again recently) to be a singularly absurd thing. Especially with the sheer amount of effort it took to paint him as the 'tough on crime' candidate in 1997.

You know what working class voters really love, its re-enactments of intra-party squabbles from the decade before they were born. They can't get enough of it. "Sod the rent" they'll say if you try to change the subject.

Starmer should watch for when Johnson's left eyebrow raises slightly after he does his signature evasive dodge. If he punches him in the groin at exactly that moment, the star icon will appear which means that next time Boris Johnson opens his mouth, Starmer can do a super upper cut for instant damage and Boris' trousers will fall off exposing his weakness to a potential TKO if you time it exactly right.

C'mon Keith! You gotta train hard if you want to win an election!

I mean, honestly, who the fuck is supposed to identify with or relate to, that?  Who?  Absolutely unlikeable.

to be fair those Times photos are more flattering than when they got Jess Phillips to dress up as a tin-foil food-pill future person precariously breaking wind on a stool.

(yes this is actually the Sunday Times which is a completely different editorial team and writers, and also way more daily mail than the covert nastiness under the guise of centrism of the Times. but still, it's all Murdoch's News UK)

Quotethe dramatic events of February 2019

>Dramatic
Some MPs left their parties to form a middle class wank tank that represented nothing and no-one.

>Dramatic
Hardly anyone outside Westminster noticed.

>Dramatic
IF WE KEEP SAYING IT SOMEONE MIGHT BELIEVE US!!!!!

Independently speaking for everyone behind a Murdock paywall, as brave Keith did only yesterday[nb]Was it yesterday?  I didn't read it.[/nb].  Bound to touch the hearts and minds of millions.

BTW, they boast of 97 years, between them, sitting as MPs.  Ninety-seven years.  What did they achieve, in that almost-century?  Well, they fucked up Corbyn, nothing else memorable, is there.  They fucked Corbyn and McDonnell and the UK and now we have Johnson and Brexit and test and trace, their record speaks for itself.

They stopped a second holocaust, remember?

Worryingly, this is the story that will perpetuate in future generations. The rise of the beige kids is upon us.

Dr Rock

There's talk that Labour may back proportional representation in the next election. At fucking last.

Paul Calf

Well, they would now they no longer benefit from FPTP, and it's too late for them to make any difference at all.

No vision, no ambition.

Shoulders?-Stomach!

They won't do it if they get into power (which they won't).

Dr Rock

Oh and a pact with LibDems and Greens where any party unlikely to win stands down. I'm not saying they'll win, but PR is the only way not to have the Tories in power 80%of the time, so it's good if the issue is raised again anyway.

Laughed out loud at this useless fuck.

Imagine you opened the airing cupboard to get a towel and saw this staring at you. You stare blankly at it the switch the light back off and close the door.

Remember Gapes at the Tinge UK Press Conference?

"I have been fighting...on Twitter!"

Christ, he describes himself as brave in that article.

QuoteIt was almost sundown as me & the crew strode out, we'd got a one-way ticket to Nando's and no lousy Corbynista's were going to stop us. I knew Chukka had my back, he's a man you'd always trust to stand firm, kinda guy you need in a foxhole. We were entering bandit country and they were out there, gunning for us. "Gapes, you've lost your damn mind" they said - but I wasn't feeling so crazy, I was feelin' just fine.
