I've always been fascinated with this piece from a young age. There's a great piano transcription of it by Rachmaninov but even better is this version arranged by Georges Cziffra:

And here's a slightly dodgy attempt at me playing it on nthe guitar:

Let me know what you think.

Impressive vid again Sam.

Gizza exercise to help speeding your fingers up.

Adrian Brezhnev

Blimey, watching that video made my fingers ache, just by imagining trying to play The Flight of the Bumblebee on a guitar.

fanny splendid

Then try Manowar's (The Kings Of Metal) version called 'Sting of the Bumblebee', played on a bass guitar.

Hail and Kill!

Huzzie:

Hears the powertab of TFOTB. Any bit of it is good to exercise the fingers with, it's all chromatic and easy to play and think of in shapes. Give it a go!

There's a trumpet transcription by Wynton Marsalis, and Al Hirt's theme from "The Green Hornet" (which can be found on the Kill Bill soundtrack album) is basically a rearrangement of FOTBB.

Pah, if there's no rubber tyre-eating at the same time, I'm not impressed.

Cheers Sam.

EDIT: Bugger! Already said that, annai? My memory is terrible!
