QuoteFrasier's old college buddy turned university professor. British, boozy and larger than life

Looking forward to hearing Lyndhurst's British accent à la Frasier (TV Show).

Have to admit I do wish that [ex-poster] was here right now.

Would love it if Simon is the only character to make a reappearance.

Frasier walks into an alleyway and emerges in Boston in World War Two. He gets his mother pregnant, thus solving the mystery of why he told people his father was dead. He also teaches Bob Hope the Tossed Salad song.

Amazing news.

Forget the show itself, the CaB thread is going to be even better than the Derek S2 one. And that thread damn near caused me an injury from laughing so hard.

This thread is already paying dividends. I salute you.

By all accounts it seems like Grammer and the studio vs the rest of the cast. While I wouldn't expect a whole reunion you'd expect Niles to be around since he is Fraser's only confidante. There'll probably refer to him off-screen as an in-joke referencing Maris.

Would laugh if this ends up like Community s1. Older guy hanging  with a bunch of misfits learning life lessons.

It does sound like the only reason this is a Frasier revival is to cash in on the name, given that there are so few ties to the original series. Presumably the same premise could work with Kelsey Grammar playing a very similar character.

Amazing

I'm sure he could surprise me, but Nicholas Lyndhurst has always struck me as a 'smaller than life' character, for better or for worse

Ep. 1: Lilith comes to visit out of the blue. After an evening of wine, reminiscing, and humorous misunderstandings, she accidentally reveals that Boycie is in fact Frederick's real father.

Jerzy Bondov

Fucking YES get in. I did want things to work out with Frasier and Laura Linney though... Nah it's worth it for Rodney. She can get to fuck

frajer

I ask for an Emperor burger, he brings me quail in a honey-pomegranate sauce!

Urinal Cake

I thought Frederick was going to be in this as well.

Came here looking for this. Was not disappointed. Peak CaB 🔥

Also, the premise sounds alright and I'd watch it. Never liked Frasier tho

Rolf Lundgren

Genuinely excited by this. A real worlds colliding moment but could actually work.

I remember being quite surprised when Jim Dale off of the Carry On films turned up as the voiceover guy on US show "Pushing Daisies", but this seems much weirder. I'm really looking forward to it!

Well how fucking wrong was I in a previous thread...

Quote from: Rich Uncle Skeleton on November 12, 2019, 01:10:27 PMNicholas Lyndhurst must be an utter bastard to share a dressing room with as Kelsey Grammar is getting out of the theatre game and once again threatening a "reboot" of Frasier.

Your dad always said that one day Frasier would reach the top. There again, he used to say that one day Phil Minton would play Carnegie Hall.

Ferris

I saw a comic (Demetri Martin?) do a Carnegie Hall gag in Edinburgh ages ago and I can't take it seriously as a place now.

Spoiler alert
I used to live near Carnegie Hall. It was small but easy to give directions to my place: practice! ...then take a right
