Can anyone help me find At Home With Amy Sedaris.

For what it's worth I have Prime, Netflix and Disney+ but it's just never turned up.

Quote from: Twilkes on June 09, 2023, 03:22:05 PMI don't think it's those, definitely wouldn't have been Donald Duck. Thinking about it, it might even have been a falling aircraft, but the protagonist was definitely cool as a cucumber about it so Pink Panther feels right. Will have a dig around.

It sounds like you're describing a combination of the ends of Falling Hare and The Heckling Hare:

https://youtu.be/X2EwX4UzkZw?t=167

Neither of which involve the Pink Panther, though, so maybe not.

Yeah no it's neither of those, definitely someone stepping out of something that's about to hit the ground, I remember being bamboozled by the physics of it.

Some of it is seeded here: https://1337x.unblockit.mov/search/amy+sedaris/1/ - otherwise it seems only to be available in the US on Amazon or Googleplay, and I don't know if you can use a VPN to get around that or not though.

I have half a mind to write to David Sedaris and ask if he's got a spare copy lying around

Beetham

This is probably a bit of a reach, but I don't suppose anyone has a copy of the comedic documentary 'Climb Every Mountain - Nothing Succeeds like Failure,' broadcast as part of the Arena arts strand in 1980?

It was presented by the screenwriter David McGillivray and the humorist Stephen Pile, best known for writing 'The Book of Heroic Failures' - one of the best-selling comedy books of the 1970/80s.

I know it was available online a number of years ago when the BBC trialed the release of some archive material online, but its not available on iPlayer as far as I can see...

I'm guessing you don't do the torrenting thing then? It's just that from the link I posted above I managed to get the following:

I get that doing the whole torrent thing can look complicated, so if you'd like me to upload those files to mediafire and a one click download please let me know, but I won't do it just yet until I know you want them for certain as it can be a little time consuming.

Kinda cross-posting from my message in the Kitson thread, pleading for radio, but I'm after a few more bits too if anyone can help?

The Stand Up Show - The Open Mic Award
First broadcast: 23rd Sept 1995, 23:50 on BBC One

BBC New Comedy Awards 99
First broadcast: 27th Aug 1999, 23:00 on BBC One

Fringe Cuts
First broadcast: Tue 28th Aug 2001, 23:00 on BBC Radio 4

I have this vague memory of a comedy show where they keep showing clips from a made up film (maybe it's framed by an actor on a talk show or something) and every time a clip ends the credits roll as though it's the conclusion of the film. I'm not sure if anyone observes that this makes no sense, or whether the absurdity is left uncommented upon.

I thought it was from a Norm MacDonald appearance on Conan where he promotes his version of Sully, but apparently not.

It sounds like a sketch from the Mr Show reboot W/Bob & David, I think it was with David Cross & Paget Brewster.

Thanks for looking! I found an incomplete version of 1995's Open Mic Award (posted on youtube just back in March) featuring the youngest Kitson I've seen outside of Blockbusters. It's all quite enjoyable, though. Spoiler alert: Julian Barratt wins.

Could it be the "It's the Mind" sketch from Monty Python?

does anyone have both series of Modern Toss? For some reason it doesn't seem to be anywhere.

Not on TvChaos or MySpleen unfortunately - I see the dvds in charity shops every so often, so if I do I'll pick it up.

Oh, Nobody

The High Life- NOT THAT ONE. HBO show from 1996.
There's been one episode on Vimeo for eleven years ( https://vimeo.com/44437797 ) but I've never noticed the rest pop up anywhere.

I looked on MySpleen and they only have that one episode - and weirdly I'm the first person in the comments section to say how much they were looking forward to watching it as they liked Adam Resnick, but I've no memory if I ever did or not!

Does anyone know which Reeves & Mortimer documentary has Mark Williams complaining about the Slade sketches, once coming into a table reading exclaiming "And I don't want to hear nothin' about no seven bees!"

I've been trying to locate the BBC Scotland show Fern Brady Goes Viral. There are 2 sketches on YouTube, but I can't find the full episodes. Can anyone help?

Famous Mortimer

Quote from: Mobbd on June 01, 2023, 02:52:45 PMNot strictly comedy, but I'm trying to find this Radio 4 programme with Stewart Lee.

It's a 2006 episode of a series called "With Great Pleasure."

https://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/7b493c65cfe14591a88ccbc3929a6a97

It's not on Stew's website audio archive and it's not on YouTube. I know some of you lot are good with radio archive.

Here it is.

Oh, this was from June? Anyway, if anyone wants it.
