He has some great anger as Saxondale and Partridge too, because it's very real, and almost always domestic stuff that doesn't really matter, which makes it funnier.

His argument with a "generic annoying man who lives inside my mind" is very good: https://youtu.be/CCrY4meYiBs?t=223

We've all done it

Blue Jam

As is his generic argument with an annoying Chris Rea who lives inside his mind.

"Oh FORGET IT!"

Dewt

The way he goes off on the scallywag in Mid Morning Matters for making sheep noises is absolutely perfect.

Cuellar

"That's probably for me, 'Oooh I'm really scared(!), I am a bit"

Blue Jam

"WELL NOW YOU'RE LOOKING AT NORFOLK'S MADDEST MAN!"

One of my favourite bits of that scene is seeing Michael blaming Tex for taping over The Spy Who Loved Me and ducking out of the way. Ex-army Michael, whom Alan was begging to be friends with just moments earlier. Michael is such a great coward- one for the "Favourite pathetic/vile/lowlife characters" thread?

Famous Mortimer

Bill Hicks lost his mind with an audience to the point he screamed "Hitler had the right idea, he was just an underachiever" at them. The bootleg recording is known as "I'm Sorry Folks" (or something quite similar).

Dewt

That's the line that snapped me out of it. It seemed like genuine off-the-cuff anger until he said that line, which just felt like breaking something out from his repertoire.

Greg Davies' Man Down is full of wonderful anger. Basically every single character full of absolute rage. For some reason the one that sticks in my mind is the furious security bloke in the services who says Brian looks like Ian Beale before going on a lovely rant about having to work in a service station 70 miles from your own home, "BECAUSE YOU'VE GOT A WIFE THAT CAN'T STOP BUYING CANDLES!"

"And Ian Beale doesn't have a moustache." "HE DID WHEN I WATCHED IT!"

Brundle-Fly

A bit on the nose but god, I punched the air watching this Victor Meldrew moment all those years ago.

Ned Flanders losing his marbles in "Hurricane Neddy" is a spectacle but for me his earlier meltdown in "Homer Loves Flanders" is way better, there's such an earnest and relatable base to his rage, especially when Homer swings it back with his lovely speech afterwards. I became very aware of my hayfever nostrils whistling just now which reminded me of it. "JUST BREATHE THROUGH YOUR DAMN MOUTH!"

Quite a few other good ones from the Simpsons - Grimey, Apu on Billy and the Cloneasaurus, and this:

The Ice Cream Man Cometh

What's this? MILK?

He's good as the bitter ARC bloke as well.

Slime in this ear, slime in that ear... just. stop. talking

Was Frank Costanza angry, or agitated? Guess his persistent agitation was likely the product of anger. So basically everything Frank Costanza ever said and did.

Julian in Trailer Park Boys. Convinced he's better than and deserves more than his associates, but his co-dependence means it rarely amounts to anything more than having doors on his car. Ends up in the slammer with Ricky every year. Leaves him frustrated, humourless and trapped inside a giant face paralysed by low level anger and disappointment. Great character

How could I forget Paddy Considine as Robb Gretton vs Steve Coogan's Tony Wilson.

30 grand for a fucking table!

Also from 24 Hour party people.

Peter Kay's Tony asking Tony Wilson about what music they'd be playing in his club.

'Indie mostly'

'INDIAN?!'

John Malkovich does great angry as Osborne Cox in 'Burn After Reading:

You just think that character must have a permanent headache with how angry he is all the time.

My favourite angry Bill Hicks bit is his Jay Leno rant.

Steve Fleming was far scarier than Tucker. I get the feeling that Tucker is probably alright outside his professional circle. A bit of a cunt, but not someone who does it for kicks, just part of his job.

He treats "the proles" he interacts with in the series quite nicely in contrast.

I fell asleep during this film. Is it worth revisiting?

I watched it the other day - great fun, seemingly a light, offbeat comic romp but actually a scathing portrait of the US.

Earlier in that episode, Super Hans declaring "This is BULLSHIT!" before smashing said door off its hinges.

Saw such a funny post by Dobby Club the other week, when the Winston Churchill statue was all boarded up in that white box. Can't find the picture now, but it was a Photoshop of the statue kicking its way out, with the caption 'THIS IS BULLSHIT'.

It's not as funny written down, but I've tried to be as succinct as possible to aid visualisation. Shout out to Dobz Club and their niche memes.

Its such a strange, disjointed film. I do like how it really doesn't seem to give a fuck about the audience. John Malkovitch and Brad Pitt are absurdly good in it.

Yes, that's a great one.. "Forming an NBC peacock, cuz he's a company man to the bitter fucking end"

There's a really good one before his death entitled "Unheard Bill Hicks".. The quality isn't good, but its great. Also, there's been a handful of shows uploaded by his brother Steve onto YouTube. I've seen many of the clips before, but seeing the entire show is cool, even if I know 95% of it.

One of my favourite Simpsons moments.

In my head I read that in Troy McClure's voice when he says "one of our best writers."
