Inside Number 9 - Series 9

Brundle-Fly

They should finale with a horrific dream sequence like at the end of the Ealing Studios horror anthology classic Dead Of Night (1945) where all the stories intertwine to a horrific climax. This might prove logistically tricky and expensive to pull off with fifty four episodes in the can but an option.

Midas

Inside No. 6 (Everything filmed upside down)
9 .oN edisnI (Reverse chronological episode)
Inside No. 9 (Reverse chronological episode, but everything acted in reverse and then played backwards so it seems like an ordinary episode)

Midas

It was all a dream
Reece is a madman in an asylum
It was Earth all along

Underturd

Fuck me, I'm looking forward to this, now!

Midas

Maybe they'll do a crossover episode featuring characters from previous episodes

DelurkedToHelp

The 6th and supposedly final episode of this series is due to be broadcast on the 12th of June, or 12/06. 1 + 2 + 6 = 9, so either a 90 minute long final episode or 2 extra secret episodes of 30 mins in length, in addition to the scheduled episode. "You wait for one bus episode and two come along at once"

Midas

Will we finally see Outside No. 9

Underturd

Maybe it all turns out to be happening in the Beatles song, and the end of the last episode, the camera pulls back, to reveal a Dr. Calighari sort, hunched over a gramophone, listening to the music, and watching the tiny people.

A 'Fantastic Voyage' style sci-fi ep where Steve and Reece travel around the human body. Only at the end of the ep we find out it was Christopher Eccleston, so they were Inside (Doctor) Number 9!

Does anyone recognise the first actress?
(Edit: Found out, it's Natalie Dormer from Game of Thrones.)

Glebe

So no bus episode but they've done one on a tube train!

I can get behind this utterly nonsense logic

Actually, I may be thinking of a different actor.

From the IN9 features in todays TV listings magazines it's says the titles / settings & ep # of some of the series:

1 - Boo To A Goose (train)
2 - ?
3 - Mulbery Close (doorbell footage)
4 - ?
5 - Curse of the Ninth (period costumes / stately home)
6 - ?

It also says the two hander is "The Trolley Problem" where it's one man talked out of ending his own life & invited back to his house by the other, but it doesn't say which ep it is. Which means there's a spoiler somewhere as the BBC media pack says:

From the elegance of an Edwardian country house to the grim reality of the last train home, from nosy neighbours to grave robbers, from illicit visits to the toilet to a ticking clock in a sinister escape room,

The trailer shows an escape room, so that means the two hander described in TV Times ends up being about grave robbers or it's the toilet visit one.

I can help here.

Yes, the two-hander is The Trolley Problem (similar plot to The Sunshine Limited but probably will go in a different direction.) The Radio Times website said this morning that it will be the second one broadcast.

My guess is it contains something about grave-robbing, fourth ep is the escape room and the last is a surprise in the toilet. There's also another part to that synopsis, seen in places like The British Comedy Guide, which alludes to 'classical music, dubious morals and murders at midnight.' So, a little bit more to unravel there.

I did wonder if a live show was on the cards when they were so cagey at the premiere. I'll certainly be trying for tickets

"There'll be something old, something new, something butchered and something... BOO!"

Any chance there will be a presale?

There's a venue specific one earlier in the day.

You think the IN9 folk would've pushed a mailing-list if they were going to offer one.
