Has anyone else given this Scottish family based comedy show on the iPlayer a go? Iain Connell, Rab Florence, and Sharon Young star. I had a lot of fun with it.

I've only seen the first series but liked it and intend to watch the other two. Some good laughs and generally fun.

Since I haven't seen the most recent series I can't say whether it deserved to be renewed based on quality or if the story demanded it, but three series seems like a decent run. I don't think there are many British sitcoms lasting longer these days. I wouldn't mind the people involved going on to do other things instead, since they have a good record, particularly with Burnistoun.

If you're a completist there's at least one Scotts segment in The All Star Euros Sketch Show, a one-off BBC Scotland programme for Euro 2024, still available on iPlayer, which also has revivals of The Karen Dunbar Show and the supposedly cancelled Scot Squad among others.

There was a CaB thread about the pilot but not much discussion. I think there were one or two other threads about the series with even less discussion but I can't find them now.

I appreciate the pointers! I've really come to enjoy Rab Florence's comedy since Consolevania. He and Ryan Macleod do a nice follow-up on YouTube if you like your video games and 1980s nostalgia. Far too much time dedicated to Lovejoy.

All the Two Doors Down episodes are on the iPlayer, if you like suburban Scottish folks.  The writer died last year, so there isn't likely to be new shows.  Shame, he had a real knack of getting the idiosyncrasies of bastard neighbours perfectly.

I think I'd a thread on each series which had minimal interest. Really loved it, would love more.

First series was really funny, quite a lot of the Burnistoun humour was there. The following two series got progressively less funny, but it actually began to function more as a comedy/soap/drama type thing. Characters developed to a reasonable standard, interesting plots.

Fairly light, but something nice to watch. Could almost keep going for a fair while longer on that basis.

Give us another series you shit.

It's good. Sad to hear it's cancelled :(
