I am a grown man and know nothing about tumblr beyond it once being a sort of porn site.

I know nothing about tumblr either but given the general reception to the film has been "Looks nice but there's fuck-all else to it" and people are apparently stampeding to the filming locations to take photos of themselves there I think it probably means it's the cinematic equivalent of eating at a Salt Bae restaurant, appropriately enough (probably where she got the idea for the title). All photogenic surface, no substance.

its just a bloody meme film innit

I dunno about all this, feel like it was just a film that someone made. I thought it was SHITE, but none the less, fair play they got a film made, all this its a tumbler this and its a meme that, it's just a film made be some posh git who's only seen Rebecca and that Sex Education TV show, maybe they'll make something less annoying next time. It looked lovely! Some fun scenes, but come on guys, its just a bad film

I don't even think its a bad film, but I do think the plan was very much for it to 'go viral', with a lot of help from the press

The naked dance scene at the end felt like it was tacked on as an afterthought purely for that reason.

Sounds like a good idea

Thought we'd put bits in it people would like and remember and hell, even talk about on the Internet. Also there was a marketing budget
YOU CYNICAL CUNTBASTARDS

I think if this was filmed on VHS with some sort of moog based soundtrack the weird tone and demented Conservative sex negative stuff would have felt like a mad outsider art film and I would have loved it

But it's all cellos and and posh wankers radio 2
Bangers and it looks like a sergio Leone film which ruins it

Don't reference iconic stuff with a decent script and tonal continuity in something like this

druss

I'd heard this was mental and that it was best to watch it without reading anything about it so that any mad scenes would come as a shock. I kept waiting for a From Dusk Till Dawn level turn so was quite disappointed that the actual "twist" if you can even call it that was obvious from literally the opening dialogue and the only shocking scenes were just basic edgelord cringe.

I was engaged as I was watching and it went along quickly enough but no chance I'll ever rewatch.
