In A Violent Nature (2024 experimental [?] slasher flick)

I'm hearing some buzz about In A Violent Nature, an "ambient slasher" film that draws inspiration from Gus Van Sant's Elephant by focusing almost entirely on the classic murderous revenant slasher archetype as he wanders about in long, slow takes punctuated by scenes of grisly violence.

Could be really compelling and unnerving, could be shite. Anyway, here's the trailer:

Out in the US on May 31, then on the Shudder streaming channel later on. Not sure about UK release dates nor nuffin.

Sounds almost more like the original Elephant with a dash of 21stc extreme cinema.

If it's truly nihilistic and depressing then I'll give it a go.

I mean, we've all seen Angst, so it does need to do something new.
