'A Chris Morris fansite' was also spotted on the Teletext TV news today  (ITV, pg 131 I think).

I realise it's nearly a decade too late to be saying this, but Morris (nor anyone else who wants to be a creative artist) shouldn't be following the tabloid agenda by chasing after specific "issues". OTH never did. The oblique, detached approach actually cuts to the heart more deeply.

But apparently Morris is a strange example of a writer who started out quite wise and perceptive and then spent his career unlearning everything, ending up tiresomely naive and amateurish. Though you get the novelty that he is now on the same level as his dullest imitators, so they get to feel smug at their non-achievement.
