It's Blind-a-Dead!

And here is your corpse, "Our Graham" Skidmore!

The voice of Blind Date and Shooting Stars has died aged 90. He's probably up in heaven now, introducing things.

Quite a delay in the announcement, must not have wanted to overshadow the jubilee.

The thread title made me think Alan Dedicote (whom I'd incorrectly thought to have been the voice of Blind Date - it'd slipped my mind that he was referred to as 'Our Graham' every week) had bought the farm.

Anyway, I can't wait to see the puns on here when he does cark it.

Ground zero for the forced inclusion of provincial modes of speech on television.

Disgusting.

No one will ever convince me it was anything but aggressive pretence, I bet the cunts hated each other backstage.

I assumed the thread title meant someone had managed to blind somebody who was already dead.

"a dead" being woke language for a person who has died.

Cilla looking on, as Graham rises to announce some more stuff.

The Independent celebrates this with a badly-cropped photo of Cilla and 2 Blind Date contestants neither of whom is the deceased. Sky at least has a photo of Skidders as well as one of Cilla Black with contestants Nicola and Paul in case you forgot what the 90s looked like. Still, he was a private man who didn't like his face being on TV, so maybe it's what he wanted.

The Guardian says he was "seen in the background of the film Eyes Wide Shut", presumably brandishing an enormous phallus.

Replies From View

Somewhat ironic that he was seen there, considering he is now blind himself!

A picture of the empty set just before Cilla Black walked onto it would have been better as that was when he did his intro.

That line "you decide" sure came to bite him on the arse didn't it.

He was only on Blind Date for 17 years.  You have to ask what on earth he was doing for the other 73.

I've already been doing my current job for over 7 years, and I am only 42.

Men of his generation do tend to wear jackets and ties that are the same colour as their hair would look with Grecian 2000 added (and go nude when they're bald).

Makes you think

Blumf

According to IMDB, he had an uncredited role in Monty Python's Flying Circus as an 'Armoured Knight'. So a technical comedy legend.

I can't be bothered to find out - but who was it who we had a thread about who also looks exactly like Paul O'Grady?

#fake edit# Jo Brand's husband.
