I'd not actually heard that stuff about Prince Phillip. Aha, what a lad.

I thought that the Duke of Edinburgh's extra-curricular activities were more-or-less an open secret. So much so that when he did a closed visit to an art gallery to see an exhibition of paintings by a deceased artist friend of his, he was in a very merry mood and began happily talking about various adventures he and the artist had had with prostitutes in years gone by.

Aye, so open that the Mail can report on them in a chucklesome "what is he like!"/"boys will be boys" fashion.

Perhaps I phrased it incorrectly, but I had read that she vacillated between being a coked up monster and a drunk 'n' pills,  fall down arsehole.

EDIT : And always thicker than pigshit.

Ta. It does make sense. I thought it was some drug term I was unfamiliar with.

Snap. Never.

What a life I've led.

Even my Granddad used to regularly refer to Prince Phillip's extra-curricular activities, so I always assumed this was common knowledge.

Anyway, there is clearly a Government Shill on this thread, and it sure as hell isn't me[nb]Whatever Plane Trail conspiracy theorists think.[/nb]! We've diverted the topic away from paedophile politicians and on to the Duke of Edinburgh getting naughty with various loose women, which may be interesting but it surely isn't illegal or particularly surprising (well, OK, the hiring of prostitutes is illegal, but you take my point).

So far as the press are concerned, I can guarantee that they're incredibly excited at the moment. Fifteen years ago when I was attending Journalism College, one of our lecturers was an ex-Sun journalist. Towards the end of the course, he gave us all a pep talk. It wasn't long after Diana's death, and public feeling about journalists was at an all-time low - the general view was that all journalists (without exception) were sleazy, dirty, good-for-nothing muck-rakers.

He said to the class that the Westminster paedophile scandal was something that many of his colleagues had been trying to break for years, and that he regarded the resources ploughed into it as being among the more noble Fleet Street activities, the kind of thing the Fourth Estate should dedicate their time to. He informed us that not only had there been Government suppression to prevent the name of Cyril Smith and a certain ex-Tory (one suffering from a horrible case of careless oubliet at the moment) being released, but that colleagues of his had been targeted, threatened and attacked by hired criminals. The story was apparently kept under wraps through the use of some particularly unsophisticated intimidation, and I think most journalists and newspaper proprietors apparently felt a lot of bitterness about how their rightful business was interfered with, and their lives disrupted.

So yes, you can bet your life that they're going to toy with this story for as long as they can manage. What else they'll actually end up releasing is a point in question, but as my lecturer said "It will have to come out at some point, and I would be incredibly proud if anyone I'm teaching today is the person to break it".

And will that person be me? No. I worked in local journalism for a bit, got sick of the terrible pay and my living conditions, went to work in publishing instead, then took numerous other career detours afterwards. I just whined about it on this forum instead.

Interestingly, I only ever heard two politicians names being mentioned in association with this, and one of them (Smith) is obviously now dead.

See here: https://consult.justice.gov.uk/sentencing-council/indecent-images-children/supporting_documents/sexual%20offences_Indecent%20images%20of%20children.pdf

If anyone is interested but can't be bothered to read this, category c is "erotic" pictures of children, or photos of children with a focus on their genitals. How very grubby and sad.

Absorb the anus burn

Here is a good documentary on Lord Boothby, The Krays and Tom Driberg.

It isn't about paedophilia per se, but it shows how the British establishment can close down a scandal. It shows how left and right will work together in a cover up for mutual benefits, maintaining the status quo and making sure we don't realise how corrupt, hypocritical and criminal everything really is.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DB1Kdz28ws

Just as conservative Boothby was saved by left winger Driberg, today we get Clegg (diddle dunce diddle cunt) saying no to a massive child abuse enquiry that could prove damaging to a former home secretary, who Clegg actually worked for before he decided to become a liberal... Check it out. Clegg worked for Leon Britton.... Labour do not deserve any respect on this issue either. Few journalists would want to look again at Dunblane, even without the D-notices.

The links between the great 'n good with child sex can be made easily using the internet. Always put names and phrases into "inverted commas " to precisely narrow down your search fields. Lots of bloggers have put together lists already, but if that seems a bit witch hunt creepy, check archived newspaper links yourself, remembering to look at Canadian, Australian and other Commonwealth press, who deal with Royal scandal and British political tittle tattle.

Re: The Royals... Well, Charlie Boy has been covered on here many times before. An archive search of CaB will bring all that up.

Here is younger brother Andrew with convicted child molester Jeffrey Epstein.

If you want to pay homage to the Queen then read about the brother of her senior Lady In Waiting, Dame Mary Morrison, sister of Sir Peter Morrison, former Thatcher aide, who changed an E to an S and died of AIDS. He appears to have been a serial visitor to care homes for children.

One final point on the Boothby / Krays documentary....... The Queen Mother is said to be a lover of Boothby (who was also fucking the Prime Minister's wife, one of the Krays, and as many rent boys as he could get his hands on).

According to my Mum in the 1930s-40s the Queen Mother was known as the Royal Bike because so many people had taken a ride on her... Not likely a nonce, but a gin-sodden, cock hungry, blue blood slattern.

Fucking The Queen Mother would be extremely hot. Even today.

I think you'll find it would be extremely cold. Well, given it'd be that bit closer to the Earth's core, extremely cool anyway.

Of course, I have long wondered exactly what was in The Duke of Edinburgh's phone call.  I assumed at the time he was probably arranging a secret liaison of some sort or another, especially given the very long-standing rumours about his marriage that are not published in this country.

It was completely banal irc - something to do with some new parts for Fiat Uno.

biggytitbo

Lord Boothbys speciality involved a glass coffee table and someone having a poo I believe. Him and Driberg were peadophiles, albeit usualy with older children.

One interesting detail I'd not heard before involved the infamous 1971 Baker Street robbery that was allegedly a cover for retrieving some compromising photos of Princess Margaret.

Apparently the robbers found a big stash of child pornography in the safety deposit boxes and left it spread out for the police to find in the hope the perpetrators could be caught.

I wonder who was in those photos...

There's a thing going around that Jill Dando knew about all the pedos at the BBC and was about to expose and that why she was murdered. Not sure if it's true but it's an excellent conspiracy.

biggytitbo

Yes indeed, Harry W pulled a few strings and had the inconvenience 'killed'.

biggytitbo

It is odd the Jill Dando though isn't it? Her murder had all the hallmarks of a professional hit, which means she was murdered for a reason.

But what was that reason eh?!

BlodwynPig

biggytitbo

If they had any sense they'd put me and him in charge of the case -

We'd have had all this stuff solved by now.

Well first it was the lone nutbag, George, then it was Serbian nationalists (?!?!), now....ah nobody's bothered anymore. She just died.

It's the fact that nobody seems to give a fuck about solving it now the lone nut explanation proved to be an obvious fit up. Borge[nb]I call Barry George 'Borge' to save time[/nb] can't even get compensation for having his life destroyed by the police.

And vital pieces of evidence, such as the white hairs, discarded cigar and foil cape found nearby have been confidently 'lost' by the police.

BlodwynPig

Dando's death (and others') is a lesson. If you have information on establishment paedo rings, don't fucking sit on it, get yourself on BBC Breakfast with your evidence (copied, originals with trusted contact or security box) and spread the word pronto.

I can't imagine Dando breezing about with such damaging information - she was either killed because she was close to obtaining evidence (but not actually having enough to go public), or it was unrelated.

biggytitbo

Or if she had anything, she may have been unaware how dangerous it was. It might have been  story that whilst not ostensibly big in itself, would have inevitably lead to more damaging stuff.

Or she was killed by Cliff because in 1998 Jill Dando trumped in his larder.

Wait a minute... Look at the other one's who've been found guilty. Harris, Clifford.

It's all starting to make sense.

Uncle TechTip

But why not now? All those involved are dead or not in a position of power. Just who wants to ensure that their reputations are protected? I suppose the only institution with that longevity throughout the time would indeed be the royals. Even the civil service and its hangers-on will have changed.

The Diana call does sound like a red herring though. If the quote from the eavesdropper is true it does seem like he wants to protect someone's feelings. If it was noncing, again would he not be keen for that to be exposed?

gabrielconroy

It would be embarrassing to the country generally at a time when we're trying to sell ice-creams abroad or something. I dunno, I'm not an economist.

Steven

This Elm House dossier affair could keep the papers satiated for decades going after the old lot that are so old they're no longer in active power or dead until at least the current lot are so old they're no longer in active power or dead. Tough on paedophilia, tough on the causes of paedophilia after a convenient generational filibustering.
