I've used up my ten spaces, but I reckon New Pope will go before Old Pope.

Old Pope will be mainly cavorting with nuns this year. Hopefully the nunnery gets infiltrated by one who'll shag him to a heart attack (oh hang on, this isn't HS Art...)

Apparently, they were the original choices for Mischka and Grischka (no relation) in Octopussy.

Lads were on telly in the '80s, then went mental, then carked it. Tale as old as time.

I have a couple of French Doctor Who novelisations from when I was a kid, and they're on the cover -- I recall being completely baffled WTF until the magical of the internets age.

Why were they on the cover? I'm baffled and I have internet.

They used to discuss Doctor Who on the telly apparently.

Is there a deadline on this, I assume not because who cares. I send regular 20-person teams to the Derby Dead Pool, each with a theme (one team of people who've had a UK #1 hit, one team of Big Brother housemates, and one team where I open 4000 random Wikipedia biographies and pick the 20 that I think are most likely to die in the next year). I don't care to do any more research after spending my December deciding on those 60 people, so I'll submit the 10 best picks from those teams to this thread.

  • Linda Nolan (Big Brother)
  • Gary Brooker from the band Procol Harum (#1s)
  • Tom Parker from the band The Wanted (#1s)
  • Acclaimed torturer Alfredo Astiz (Wikipedia randoms)
  • John Gorman from the band The Scaffold (#1s)
  • James Whale (Big Brother)
  • Willie Nelson from the band USA for Africa (#1s)
  • Ailing tycoon Mortimer Zuckerman (Wikipedia randoms)
  • Bobby Charlton from the band England World Cup Squad '70 (#1s)
  • David Graham from the band Peter Kay's Animated All Star Band (#1s)

^ I like how the slightly camp looking Dr. Who on the cover of that book seems to be looking at the daleks with a mildly detached air of " hmmmm...that's quite interesting, I suppose", while they're firing deadly death rays of extermination all over the place.

Alberon

And he's somehow got the Fourth Doctor's scarf.

Ain't it a sad thing? There's a ghost in R Dean Taylor's house ( it's him, 'cos he's snuffed it, like).

There's a Ghost in my House is an absolute bloody classic. RIP.
