I am rewatching Harry and Paul series one and it is still really funny. Watch it if you haven't.

I am really curious if the Polish cafe sketches feature real Polish and what they are actually saying. Was this subtitled on the DVDs/ can anyone translate?

A kind Polish speaker has subtitled the bits they understand of what Morwenna Banks and Laura Solon were saying:

perfect!

why do they say "soon his scarf will tear?" and why is it so funny?

the "Ugh! Ugh!" sketch is funny with the subtitles but it's almost funnier without knowing what they are saying, as I suspected

Gulftastic

The final sketch on that compilation is one of my bits of Enfield ever. It's stacked with lovely gags.

Somebody in the comments has translated that as 'His scarf is about to burst', which sounds like 'he's getting hot under the collar' from the way Solon's character is looking at him.

I love that Harry isn't made up at all or costumed extravagantly in those sketches, for probably the only time in his sketch career.
