Sometimes they'll gesture to that sort of thing, but mostly it's just cos it's easier than photo-editing their weird ideas from scratch (not that I know anything about the people behind it, mind, this is just the impression I get).

It's such a shoestring outfit it didn't used to bother me, and I'm pretty sure they at least edit in their own details a lot of the time (this excuse didn't impress me when the people behind Late Night With the Devil used it, but the latter are professional filmmakers, not shitposters). I also think the queasy, uncanny look of AI art really suits the world they've built, but that's getting into special pleading territory.

It's hearing about the horrendous carbon footprint associated with generating all that slop that's spoiled it for me. Taff Goose getting smacked in the face with a football is funny, but not really worth destroying ecosystems over.

23.9k followers now.

Is this saying what I think it is? That the people who were kidnapped (or killed, obvs) at the music festival in Israel... deserved what happened to them? I'm disgusted by Israel's actions and am vehemently pro-Palestine, but that seems a bit rum.

Yeah I'm all for a good shitposter but this series of tweets seems a bit much to me! Maybe I'm getting old.

Anyway can this Eyup fella have a separate thread? His link to the TBEU is pretty tenuous.

That's probably a good idea. @Barry Admin

I think he's going for shock humour a lot of the time. The second one is pretty much right though, you always get the worst sort of arseholes replying with that whenever Israel has horrifically killed some children or whatever.

I, without seeing the other tweets, interpreted it as the lack of self-reflection of the official Israeli propaganda as to why a music festival outside an open-air prison might have caused significant upset. More in line with the Brass Eye paedo special: it's about media and its inability to deal with complex positions rather than 'about paedophilia'.

The other tweets reshape it a bit but I struggle to condemn.

I saw it as a link to Zone of Interest where people carry on with their daily lives while atrocities happen nearby without considering what the result of that might be, with a bit of mocking the emotive language used in these sorts of things (39 year old baby).

That doesn't mean that this set of tweets doesn't cross some sort of line, just what I interpreted it as

Cannot believe the shocking things this social media shock account is coming out with
