Series 3 of How to with John Wilson is finally on the iPlayer!

I dived straight into the 'public restroom' episode and it's so delightful to be in his world again, but am trying to portion them out to avoid it being over too soon.

Nice! Thanks for the tip. There's a great interview with him on the WTF podcast that I'd reall yrecommend listening to (which actually really helped the show click for me where I hadn't completely been on board originally for some reason)

bgmnts

Oooh I saw that on the iplayer home page but thought it was a 'based on your recommendations' rather than a new season!

Nice one cheers.

Ferris

It's brilliant and it does the Nathan Fielder thing of unexpectedly being very touching.

Spoiler alert
I think the finale should have been swapped with the vacuum chaps, but that's just me.

I didn't even know there was a series 2! Laaahhhhvleee

amputeeporn

Really enjoyed the whole run - wonder what he'll do next.

Ferris

For those who have seen it all:

Spoiler alert
My favourite bit was at Hudson Yards where he broke character to tell the security guards what a piece of shit building they were running.

A really unexpected laugh.

[Threads I stop reading after the first sentence until I've had a chance to actually watch the show]

Seriously though - thanks for the heads up on this. I'd kind of given up hope on these ever appearing on iPlayer for some reason. Can't wait to get stuck in!

Edit: having just seen episode one (Public restrooms), I'm once again staggered by what a (in this case, literal) shithole NYC seems to be. Absolute 3rd world conditions.

It certainly wasn't the ideal episode to be eating my lunch to.

OH

so I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson
and How to with John Wilson
are different shows

Maybe they shouldn't have the same title

The only common word is 'with'!

But I've become confused with far sillier things.

Ferris

"[verb] with [full name]" is quite distinctive as the name of a telly program, to be fair.

beanheadmcginty

I had it confused with Go Fishing with John Wilson, which I think is fair enough.

Jerzy Bondov

I had it confused with Joe Pera Talks With You if that's of any help

Claim to fame: When I was on holiday in NY I took a shit in the shopping centre where John Wilson was confronted by security guards. 10/10 would shit again.

Despite intending to try and make this last as long as I could, I basically ploughed through the whole thing in less than a week. Won't spoil it, as it doesn't seem like too many people have watched it yet, except to say that the

Nathan Fielder influence

becomes very apparent towards the end of the run, in quite an exciting way.

Petey Pate

Is this the series where he goes to Burning Man only to realise afterwards that he can't legally use any of the footage he filmed there?

Bittersweet that he's not going to be doing any more of this after S3 but...bloody hell, what a way to go out. The cryogenics episode fucked my shit up royally, quite an unexpected reveal (you'll know it when you get to it) but handled humanely. Just a really inventive and interesting show, my interest in comedy has really waned recent years but this and Joe Pera Explains It All were the most I've enjoyed something since...You're The Worst? And that was extremely trad in comparison to these two.

bobloblaw

This behind-the-scenes clip is next-tier.

I had to staple my wig on after it flipped about 5 times during the last episode. Great series.

Armin Meiwes

Hahaha that's brilliant "I also feel like there's cameras in the bathroom".

Hat FM

loved series 3. Highlights that spring to mind right now are
Spoiler alert
the crazy noisy couple who couldn't comrehend that someone would be in bed at 12:30am and the guy that was proud of the 9/11 bomber he had trained

looking forward to John's next move.
