Don't worry. There's only like two or maybe three people here who would disagree.

Quote from: Goldentony on July 15, 2022, 11:17:44 AMthis isnt wet leg but its adjacent because its dying horse shit with teeth in but Yard Act were on BBC 6 yesterday with that Elton John tune that sounds like Baz Luhrmann doing The Fall and honestly just fuck off all of you, stop making music

Yard act need to delete their prs account immediately and issue an apology

Quote from: amateur on July 15, 2022, 06:08:19 PMYard Act have one good song, the name of that song is Dark Days.

It's okay to enjoy that song but not worth bothering with the rest.

I would say Fixer-Upper was their best song. The Trapper's Pelts is also OK, and Dark Days. I was quite excited by them hearing those three but the album is pretty shit and their schtick gets old pretty quickly

The bit where everything stops in Dark Days and your man screams is worth the price of admission.

Love a bit where it all stops for a second.

somebody watch this on my behalf and tell me if it's as fucking terrible as it suggests.

It is, at least, exactly what you imagine that band covering that song would sound like, and is therefore an experience that will make you want to clap your hands and stamp your feet...all over @Rich Uncle Skeleton 's face, for bringing it into your life.

Presumably Triple J gave them a very short list of possible cover versions for the segment? And secretly hate Wet Leg, their own listeners, and the entire concept of recorded sound?

sevendaughters

tired too cool to care cover of a novelty song. pointless.

They seem like genuine garage rock kids, just fuckin pumped at the thought of moving air round, rather than a bunch of bristolian chancers who hope no ones ever heard suburban lawns

I like The Chats.

Glad this thread has moved on to some good music at last eh.

Hahahah attaboy.

Thanks for taking one for the team. I like both bands (especially the chats) but sod listening to that if their Madonna cover was anything to go by.
