Actually my clarification and tweets based on my couple of hours looking into this last Friday night with help from the PPL database, my rudimentary knowledge of PRS/PPL/MCPS payments from when I ran a label a few years ago, and confirmation from Kunt himself that the drumbeat is played by Fucksticks, The Kunts' drummer, rather than it being a sample of Rock N Roll Part 2 (so Glitter won't get paid as a performer on the track).

Crux is: Glitter's getting fuck all from this.  Hurrah!

He co-wrote Rock N Roll, so in theory he would stand to receive something, but he signed away his masters years ago, and as you say, he doesn't feature as a performer on the Kunts track.

Not really, they're just cached locally after the first play. The electrity from a playing headphone is absolutely negligible

Hmm, I don't know much about these things but I don't think a few extra hours of mp3 streaming will make a huge difference.

But purchases count much more than streams for the chart anyway, so if anyone has a spare 59p they could spend on one of the mixes, that would be fantastic. Or you can buy all 12 on Amazon, and on iTunes, and on Bandcamp if you're stinking rich. Links at borisjohnson.info

The midweek chart position was number 5.  Last year Kunt finished at number 5, but midweek he was at 19, so I'm hopeful he'll do better this time round.  My twitter notifications have been non-stop, so there's certainly some buzz around it.
