I didn't find anything funny about that, just really fucking bleak from all angles.

Agree with what others say about it being creepy and doing more harm than good as well. I'm baffled that it's even legal or at least that it's as overlooked as it is.

That said, I am somewhat morbidly interested in how these stings begin, and where. Do they receive tip offs from locals? Do they hang around certain places online and bait people? And in any case I do often wonder whether there have been instances where the person may not have engaged in indecent behaviour with what they thought was a minor had they not been goaded by these fuckin shaved apes. This stuff needs looking into and part of me definitely thinks that the ends are not justifying the means here.

Yeah, it looks like shit for cunts to me.

I remember one of the hunter groups from a thread a few years back had a site where as well as publishing their Wall (ped)O' Shame, they also described their methods. It was things like making fake profiles on dating sites as underage girls, and waiting for men to initiate contact (as opposed to getting in touch first themselves), and are pretty scrupulous about keeping their replies non-sexual so that they can be admitted as evidence in court without being dismissed as entrapment.

But like you say, is it goading to some extent in that the people masquerading as kids aren't literally minors themselves and so aren't reacting to the messages in the way that an actual child would? These stings always seem to take place when the men in question are coming to an in-person meet with people they are explicitly aware are underage, though, so it would seem a bit fanciful that they genuinely believed it was all just LARP(edo)ing.

The Mollusk

There's also no doubt that these guys absolutely relish in what they're doing (and this has to, in part, include the bit where they pretend to be minors which in itself is very questionable behaviour on a psychological level) and their ball-busting exposé methods have an ugly, boastful air about them which attracts the exact sort of "bring back the death penalty" and "what I wouldn't do if I was given an hour alone with this scumbag" types. Nothing they're doing suggests they're discouraging that type of mindset whatsoever. The police force is obviously a fucking joke but this isn't the next best thing by a long shot and I don't think it should be supported at all.

touchingcloth

Yeah, I agree - you can hear the glee in their voices during their stings, and like I said earlier they don't set out to entrap other types of criminals online and then turn up at meets to say "do you know what we call people like you? Dirty drug dealers/horrible hit men/monstrous money launderers/loathsome larcenists/execrable embezzlers/beastly badger-baiters".

It's weird that they care so specifically about this one form of crime, seemingly to the exclusion of all others.

For sure, and it's obviously stemmed from the media circus about paedophile witch hunts around the turn of the millennium. Similarly I don't doubt that there's a correlation between the hunters in the UK being chest-beating flag-waving BRITS and the unfounded furore a few years back about Muslim grooming gangs perpetuated by groups like the EDL and Britain First.

oggyraiding

Stinson Hunter was quite fascinating, and was one of the pillars of anti-nonce activity. There was a Channel 4 documentary about him which won a BAFTA. He did the stings as a sort of atonement for his troubled past. He wasn't as obnoxious as Phil Hoban, but one of the people he stung went off and killed himself in shame, which sort of soured everything. A couple of years after the documentary he pretty much disappeared.

Quote from: touchingcloth on July 06, 2022, 10:43:42 AMSomeone posted in the Belt My Arse thread recently about how the age of consent in Japan is 8 months or something BANANAS. I like the idea that one day there will be international nonce sorter-outers who go around sorting the fuck out of nonces who aren't nonces according to their own countries laws.

Imagine Phil stomping around Tokyo going "do you know what we call people like you? Or would if you were subject to The Queen's Great British Laws? Fucking dirtyu kiddy-fiddru, pal. And then an American hunter turns up and collars Phil for having the temerity to, as he is renowned for, touch up 16 year olds. "Hey, buddy, why I outta beat your ass, you filthy whatever-the-yankeeist-adjective-for-noncery-is animal".

Speaking of the queen and international differences in age-of-consent law, I wonder what Phil and co think about Andrew's abuse of a 17-year-old, if he thinks at all?

Do you think he'll come after anyone who clicked on that weird fictional child porn link you once posted behind a misleading title?

Yeah, public shaming to that degree would tip anyone over the edge. I'm sure most of these people haven't got a healthy sense of self worth to begin with.

Like people are saying, there's a distinct "shot a paedophile in a wet dream" vibe about these people. The sort of teeth gritting gay bashing vibes you only get from repressed homosexuals.
Check their hard drives!

I don't think there's any interest there in preventing the sexual abuse of children. It's all just a smokescreen. It's the equivalent of Jeremy Kyle kicking a dinner lady full in the face on morning television and going "tune in for more conflict resolution tomorrow"

imitationleather

So many of the people getting busted in these videos clearly have learning disabilities or other issues. I think that by now you've got to have something up with you to arrange to meet up with a child you've met on the clearnet and not expect them to be a crew of nonce hunters.

I hope so, otherwise he won't give his promised payout.

The paedo hunters claim that they are not vigilantes as they  call the police rather than beat up the paedos. They also say that police use similar methods of pretending to be an underage child. Re the learning difficulties issue, I would say that the majority of paedo hunting videos do not feature paedos with learning difficulties. I suppose they dont know whether the person grooming the pretend underage child has learning difficulties or not until they do the sting.

It does astonish me many how many people they catch and they often seem to get some really nasty people. I've read quite a few newspaper stories where people have been convicted after being stung by these teams, they seem to be doing pretty well in terms of conviction rates.

I'm sure they loathe Prince Andrew but there isn't a lot they can do about him.

I imagine it is much easier to sting a paedophile than a hitman or drug dealer, and as I  mentioned many of these hunters have been abused as children themselves so it's not surprising they feel angry about this type of crime. And the people they have caught, unless the team have made a mistake, have turned up intending to rape a child. That s pretty serious.

Hiya child mate. What are you wearing, and are you well seasoned?

imitationleather

Do you have some DMs or other boots that I can slide into?

I heard there was a guy from here who "accidentally" burnt his wanking shed to the ground after the feds caught whiff of his proclivities.
Rammed to the rafters with petabytes of the worst possible kiddy grot.
Now all washed away by the sweet cleansing fire.

Still going through the Nonce.Tv facebook vids.

Cycled through the chat to see that my next door neighbours is one of the main commentators and live viewers, clamouring to see them strung up.  Fucking weird.

non capisco

These videos are a grim old watch from all angles but I have to confess I once got semi-obsessed with watching one from a few years ago where an paedo gets busted in a Crystal Palace pub beer garden where he was working as a chef, purely because I immediately recognised him as the wanksnap who'd pushed in front of me in a cashpoint queue the week before. AHAHAHAHA, BAD LUCK, NONCECHOPS! NO CASHPOINTS IN THE BEAST WING, MATE!

What I want to know is, why are all nonces from Leeds?

I was going to say this is ridiculous, but then I thought about the people on here that are in Leeds and I've got to admit you have a point.

badaids

There's a couple of really ultra bleak ones where as it develops we learn they've caught proper dyed-in-the-wool beasts with convictions going back twenty years plus. One in particular in Ipswich.

touchingcloth

I like the logo roundels on nonce.tv - they're like the stuff of Wimblewrong nightmares. I particularly enjoy imagining the person MSPainting the words "TFN UK" onto a clipart of an American police car, and the person who added butterfly wings to an elephant.

If you watch enough of the videos, the collared nonces are always saying things like "she wo 18 or summat a fink" or "yer wa wa yer onnabar she said she wo like twenny fahve" or "i brot her some pop and we wos just gonna gur off darn carriagewoks" or "chapeltown". Proof if proof be Leeds be.

Leeds was the birthplace and lifelong home of a certain Jimmy Savile, not to mention a stone's throw from the prowling grounds of Peter Sutcliffe and the Crossbow Cannibal. There's something in the water in that there West Riding. Wrong 'un central.

Saddleworth is basically Leeds and all.
