It's funny, as I do recall reading the official line that Dave was the first band member to go booze-sober when he was about 30, as supposedly he had a worse relationship with alcohol than even Graham, perhaps.   So when the Nardwuar video emerged followed by the 'I Was A Cokehead, even then' revelation, I remember finding it quite surprising - wouldn't he have knocked everything on the head?  Dave it appears was bothered by Damon's "everyone's doing coke, except for me and Graham" in that infamous 'blizzard of cocaine' Q interview from 1996.
