A little picture hosting tip (works in geocities)

Not really sure if this is the place to put this, but sure feck it...

I was reading the thread about Morris being in Kerrang, and someone said that they had nowhere to host the images (ie, somewhere that they could hotlink to - geocities for example does not allow hot-linking).

There is a way around this though, if you upload your images to geocities, and change the filenames to .txt (morris.gif to morris.txt) and place it in an image tag it works just fine (unless you run out of bandwidth but thats unlikely with just images).

Maybe you know this already, maybe you don't.

Why not just use a host that does allow hot linking?

Doesn't every ISP offer free web space?

www.imageshack.us is pretty handy for phpBB forums and it gives you a handy already tagged image link
