If you suddenly do find piratebay not working, it's probably your ISP fucking with yo DNS shit.

That's why I use all new Telecomix DNS for all my intertube needs. And so does my wife.

or just use any other reliable DNS to bypass your ISP if they start blocking requests at that level.

Has anyone, who used to solely use BtJunkie, found a good, reliable alternative?

http://torrentz.eu/ is simple as can be and indexes many similar-to-BTJunkie-sites. Just ignore the 'Direct Download' options (ads) that come out on top of all of the search results. The indexed sites do work, they're not focused on giving you lurgy. True some may be worse than others with on screen tat but have a look through them you might find a replacement site if you simply must have a single one, but torrentz lets you pick and choose it's 'kin useful.

ISO Hunt is also handy, if thin on notes.

I was thinking this afternoon that I'm a bit scared of the anti-piracy clampdown, but on the flipside it will give me a chance to actually bother watching the 40 or so films and documentaries that are in my torrent directory that I havent bothered my arse to even start watching.

Music too. You can listen to an album 100 times and suddenly it'll click with you.

I've uninstalled uTorrent and put an end to this madness. Gen up.

www.kat.ph is doing the trick for me at the moment. It seems like there's a little less choice, but I've rarely been disappointed by it.

So does this mean they have given up on the torrent sites and are now just going for the file hosting sites?

Hotfile targeted.

QuoteThe head of Warner Home Entertainment Group thinks that an easy, safe way to convert movies you already own on DVD to other digital formats is to take your DVDs, find a store that will perform this service, drive to that store, find the clerk who knows how to perform the service, hope that the "DVD conversion machine" is not broken, stand there like a chump while the clerk "safely" converts your movie to a digital file that may only play on studio-approved devices, drive home, and hope everything worked out.  Oh, and the good news is that you would only need to pay a reasonable (per-DVD?) price for this pleasure.
