Quote from: Magnum Valentino on December 23, 2023, 08:22:42 AMOh I like this. Considering I've been logging what I've watched in Excel for years, I think I was looking for something like this and didn't quite know it.  - https://letterboxd.com/magnumvalentino/films/

Looking forward to a good few hours backdating it for the year maybe.

Google around - there might be a GitHub or something that will auto-import your spreadsheet.

(There's one for uploading MovieLens ratings, of which I have thousands, but I haven't figured out how to do it yet.)

This is my reasonably up to date diary, don't judge me - fully aware I watch a lot of trash https://boxd.it/DG7

At least you can remember what you've seen. I know I've seen more than the 500-something films on my list, but it's hard to recall them all, and I don't know how to jog my memory. A big list of every film ever made would be too much, but the usual top 100 things is too small. There should be some algorithm generated list of films I'm likely to have been exposed to based on my current watchlist.

Try MovieLens - it'll suggest popular films you might have seen, and as you put in ratings, it'll suggest more, in that vein or others based on what other people watch.

As I said before, GitHub has something to help you import MovieLens data into Letterboxd, but I haven't tried to get it working yet, so while it might be a pain in the arse, if you've got a bit of time free it'd probably be best to have MovieLens open in one tab, Letterboxd in another, and then update the two simultaneously.

Or add the CaB peeps to your Letterboxd account and see what they've been watching and whether it rings any bells.

Edina is the new Jigsaw killer. Kate Moss plays the game. Jean-Paul Gaultier is the hero.

(It was on BBC last night after the French & Saunders documentary. I remember being massively disappointed when the film was first released, but on this re-watch I found it much funnier than I remembered. Probably helped that I watched it around 2am with my 3rd bottle of wine...)

They seriously need to bin off the Cusack photo allow notifications prompt every time I go to login though.

Dex Sawash

2 years ago I started an account and clicked on about 20 movies I had seen. Nobody has done anything for me so there it sits the pointless account of Dex_Sawash

Not sure I understand what I'm doing there. But I am there nonetheless

Well I've added you anyway, and there's nothing you can do about it!
