Has the official line up been announced yet? From what I was able to wring out of a two second Google search, I think that it's looking rubbish. Still, Orbital will rip it up, and it'd be great to see PJ Harvey.

EDIT: Just checked the site. Seems you need to hire a suit to enter, so that might be a rather pricey thing to do unless of course I bring one myself and turn up covered in mud, sick and other fluids. Still I like the surreal idea of being in a casino at a festival. How much is suit hire?

The line up is announced June 1st & the strong romour is that the Beastie Boys will play.

Actually I'm lying again. I seem to recall that it's blackjack, not poker. They've also got roulette (which I wasted a few quid on) and something else that I don't remember right now. To be honest it's a bit of a con, as I think they pay out in tokens that you can only redeem at the bar. Still, it really doesn't matter when you're steampigged. It's a weird and very welcome experience, a casino and ballroom in the middle of a festival.

I didn't hire a suit last year, so I don't know how much it costs. We decided during the day that we were going to visit the ballroom, so we went out and bought suits from the various stalls (best ones are in the green fields). I picked up a tweed two piece for about £30, and I've certainly had my money's worth from it.

Something else to watch out for - the freak show. Last year a friend of mine caught a performer by the name of Miss Mouse who was apparently able to suck milk up her ass and fire it back out in jets all over the audience. He was very impressed.

I've been in 15D twice, and 5H twice. 5H is good because it's near the main stage (you can see and hear bands from your tent, which is good) but it gets horribly busy and noisy up there. 15D is much more peaceful, the local toilets are better and it's next to the Stone Circle. I suspect we'll end up there again this year.
