Who is this?

Indomitable Spirit

Nick actually starting to put effort into the show, moving it to a studio and pivoting to shareable, monetised Youtube content at the same time Stav is out of pure spite is very funny.

Jerzy Bondov

Dasha is Adam's ex, not Stav's. Stop getting Cum Town wrong

Oops... should have read the original and not just the quote. Sorry!

Indomitable Spirit

Stav's ex is Rachel Sennott, who's been in a couple of well received indies and an ABC sitcom. She's also appearing and an upcoming A24 horror ting with Pete Davidson.

Wow I had no idea! She was great in Shiva Baby

Stonefish

When I heard the Home Improvement theme on the latest episode I thought re-energised Nick had actually bought the rights to the song.

Oh wow, an actual famous person (rather than whatever Dasha is)

bgmnts

7 years his junior too.

Cashback!

Maybe his breakfasts really are that good.

10 minutes of Red Scare and i'd already decided that Dasha is the worst human being on the face of the planet.

What did she say?

Nothing inparticular, dumb edgelord shit with none of Nick Mullen's wit.

Red Scare is great craic. You be leaving my girls alone, now.

So I know only Cum Town through this thread and a few clips on YT. Should I start with episode 1 or is there a better place to jump in?

dontpaintyourteeth

I didn't know anyone actually listened to Red Scare. Even the people on the subreddit seem pretty negative about it. Is it worth a try?

Autism Powers is a good start, but I happily started from the very beginning myself. Pussy for Lobster and Cool Adam are personal faves if you want to try the odd episode.

Starting roughly from the beginning is the way to go I'd say. From memory, the show had clicked with me as least as early as the "Autism Powers" episode which I remember being an early stand-out and I think is in the first half-dozen or so. Could be a good starter ep if you're looking for one.

Red Scare is torture. I sat through their John Waters interview because I love John Waters but fuck me.

dontpaintyourteeth

played about two minutes of one and, well, I know what "vocal fry" is now if nothing else

chip

I found the vocal fry off-putting too myself first, but then I got over my internalised misogyny. Then I began to find it utterly entertaining and refreshing.

bgmnts

From what I've read, vocal fry is women trying to emulate men when speaking isn't it?

sutin

Their voices *are* annoying but what they're actually saying is considerably more annoying.

Ron Superior

Liz Franzac has way more vocal fry than either of the RS hosts and she's hilarious and awesome. The issue isn't the vocal fry, they're just both incredibly tiresome.

Memorex MP3

Dasha doesn't seem anywhere as bad as the other one to me. The other one seems way way further into working herself into a shoot

pcsjwgm

Nekrasova directed some Epstein-brained indie horror film called "The Scary of Sixty-First". I've only seen the trailer but, based on that and the fact that it's directed by a Red Scare host, I can just tell that it's one of the worst movies ever made. Might hate-watch it some time.
