I travel out of St Pancras regularly and there is a row of shops visible as the train pulls out. The other day I noticed a sign in one of the shops (a framing place) that said HM Prison Slade. This morning I took a detour to get a closer look. It obviously isn't the one from the opening titles of Porridge TV show as the font is very different. The guy in the shop said it was used in the film version.

Do you folks know if any bits of comedy memorabilia knocking around or even posses some? I recall the script from the Four Candles sketch being valued quite high on telly a while ago and I believe Tony Hancock's hat was on display in a soho pub at one time.

Edit. Just checked and a few years ago the Four Candles script was sold for 28,000 pounds.

There was a prop auction after Arrested Development ended (the first time). I was just a poor college student at the time but needed something and managed to snag a placard from the lawyer bar that Bateman and Julia Louis-Dreyfus meet up at.

Famous Mortimer

I had a chunk of the "Mystery Science Theater 3000" set (they cut up the background into very neat squares, put them in proper MST3K boxes, and sold them on eBay). This was about 15 years ago? But I sold it along with the rest of my collection when I moved.

Would that be the Hand & Racquet, I wonder?

Did you know that in the first draft of that sketch there were only three candles?

Saw a pic of the script online. The original working title for the sketch was 'Annie Finkhouse'. Took me a while to figure.

Blimey, the inside reads like Ulysses.
