Hartlepool

How was it? Many good walks? Never been and wondering if it is worth a visit.

The Durham coast walk is decent if you're into untamed beaches and industrial heritage. You get to see the beach from Alien 3 on the way.

Hartlepool used to be two separate towns: West Hartlepool and Old Hartlepool. The football club started up as West Hartlepool but then changed its name to reflect that it represented both towns.

In an episode of Athletico Mince that had Bob doing a sketch "scenes from Newcastle station", Andy gave him "bonus points" for referring to a train to Harltepools (the rear two carriages being full of "some kind of gunk"). Bob, like Clough, being from up the road in Boro, of course.
