Has anyone noticed a lot of youtube ads lately starting with a sarcastic message to the effect of "Oh no! You'll have to wait 5 seconds before you click the skip button".  Presumably it's an attempt to guilt trip people into sticking around and watching the ads but it just means instead of me seeing 5 seconds of their ad I'm not seeing any of it.  Epic Fail.

Feeling down, I'm putting on a solid hour's worth of Kay mekkin' some food and it's instant joy.

Watched her paella video last night.  Burnt onions, an absolute fuckton of peas and sweetcorn, tossed in a handful of paella rice, burned it all some more then scraped it off the bottom of the pan onto a couple of plates.  Appetising.. :D

Try clicking the three vertical dots next to the title of the video (in the recommendations panel), select "Not Interested" and then click "Tell Us Why" and say you're not interested in the channel.

Ta, I'll have to do that with a few.  The trouble with trying to avert the filter bubble and see both sides of various arguments is it just plonks you in a different bubble.  It now thinks I'm one of the alt-right anti feminist types myself because I thought Hugh Mungus lady was a nutcase and watched a few videos calling her out, so it shoves the worst of those at me now!

Rather, I like to think of myself as David Attenborough, parting some tall grass to reveal a silverback gorilla in all its glory, but instead of commentating I just make a cheeky face to the camera and runaway giggling.

Ha, I assumed he was faking all those himself, it never occurred to me that there could be a community of amateur VFX artists out there somewhere who get together to produce ever more absurd and unlikely "sightings" purely to troll this one guy. It is mad how his youtube followers accept all of this without a hint of scepticism.

I does make you wonder, how far could you push it before he would actually twig he was being pranked? What would it take? Space Invaders graphics? A poorly-compressed jpeg of the Millennium Falcon? The head of that green alien from the Star Trek end credits?
