That is appalling.  Marks changed after the end of year exam board and after being ratified by the externals?!  It really shows the desperation at some universities both to compensate for their perceive position and to achieve 'retention'.

You fool, they were failed environmental archaeologists. A bunch of complete cowboys. They'd turn up at some pensioner's house, claim she had a fragmented amphora, and charge £800, when really it was a broken Toby jug.
