Cheap 10-inch tablets

Yeah, Lenovo have gone downhill over the last few years. I also had an absolute tank of a Lenovo a few years ago and I absolutely loved it, every one of their machines I've had since has been fine, but flimsy.

I would still say, however, that a Lenovo tablet is a better bet than a Fire HD, even with the Google architecture sideloaded

I would also like a 10-12 inch android tablet, just for watching downloaded stuff while travelling. Is there any reason not to just pick up a cheap brand one from the CEX, and are there any brands to avoid?
