How do i stop this McAfee thing popping up on laptop

Got daughter a microsoft laptop for xmas and it seems pretty good. But see thread title.

There's no McAfee installed, so there's nothing to uninstall. This is an invitation to install, you know the kind of thing. How do i kill it please.

Settings -> Apps -> Startup -> disable it there
