I do think there's a great irony that even the AI app that's supposed to know the entirety of the internet doesn't know who Graham Linehan is.

I know that's not how the app works, but it's still very funny.

He had the world at his feet during the IT Crowd days: several American remake pilots, a show that had a cult Netflix cult before that was a thing, gigs in America.

Been away for fifteen minutes so I've just been catching up on fifty or so pages I've missed and I saw the mention of the Sinfest webcomic.

What an absolute horror show. I'd drifted away when the humour dried up and it went feminist-overload (nothing wrong with that in general, but it didn't interest me). To see it in full transphobic mode is saddening though.

Of the three other webcomics I regularly followed years back there was PvP (which stopped being funny decades back) and Jennie Breeden's Devil's Panties which is pro-trans. But one I've followed off and on for ages was Real Life Comics where creator Mae Dean came out as trans only a year or two back.

So while some fall to bananarism far more stay in the land of the sane.

No problem- that kind of shit at least has it's uses in helping to identify genuine grifting vs just crazy ala Linehan.

Inept attempts at grifting solidified to me most of this is a bunch of things in his life coming together in a perfect storm that caused him to just lose the plot. But he's an arsehole, so my sympathy is pretty dead on arrival unless he finally gets help. Funnily enough, addiction treatment would do him a lot of good, especially in the areas of getting better coping mechanisms and of seeking amends with the huge list of people he wronged (and apparently still harasses to this day).

But until he shells out to go private he's not going to get this help any time soon. I'm sure his ex genuinely tried this avenue already.
