Quote from: Puffin Chunks on February 22, 2013, 06:15:41 PMJust been hunting around for it. Can't find it though, but the pics are probably long gone.I remember my first night there. It was their (8th?) birthday and the place was heaving must have been around '94! There were two rooms I didn't even find that night. I remember just following the crowd and ending up at a wall. The crowd had no idea where they were going either. It was certainly well named. Fortunately the rooms I didn't find were the house and techno rooms, so no real loss there. My abiding memory is walking through the tunnel which connected to the two sides of the clubs, lined with dealers just saying "Pills! Pills! Pills!" constantly. I think they even had a sound system set up down there that night.I've just found reference to a film made about Labrynth called Legacy in the Dust. I have to find that, although it will probably make me cry! (http://www.backtotheoldskool.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=109105 )

Quote from: The Masked Unit on February 21, 2013, 09:33:53 PMI was going to mention Waste of chops' track - absolutely brilliant. I love yours as well PC - proper authentic. Would sit alongside the best of them on any quadrupole Fantazia tape pack!

Quote from: Unoriginal on March 01, 2013, 10:44:43 PMIt's quite sad listening to all these. I was born in 1990 so missed out on the scene, and have never found a club that plays anything like this. If the quite a few people I know are anything to go by, there's no real demand for it, which means either cheesy 80s shit, awful chart 'dance' bollocks or fucking One Direction. And then people get angry when I say that I don't enjoy going to clubs because I 'don't like having fun'! Bastards, they don't know what fun is/was.
Quote from: waste of chops on February 27, 2013, 09:25:46 PMAwwww, you guuyyyyyyyys! If my main PC wasn't on the fritz then I'd totally suggest some kind of collaborative CaB hardcore project.[nb]Hardcore rave, that is, not hardcore porn -- a skin flick featuring beardy blokes with spectacles and phimosis would be just a little bit too niche.[/nb] We should definitely do it at some point though; even if we only get a few people on board, we can call it an EP or something.
Quote from: The Masked Unit on March 07, 2013, 02:45:10 PMI'm up for that. Have never made a hardcore track but would be up for the challenge.

The aforementioned Urban Shakedown - Some Justice was 2 synced Amiga 500s, a mixer and a tone generator for the bassline. I actually have the 4 channel Pro Tracker Mod version created by Urban Shakedown kicking around somewhere. I might see if I can get it converted for posterity. They apparently performed that song on TOTP. I've never seen it, but would love to.
