I bloody love house
Recently moved house (the other one) and have space to use my decks again for the first time in a couple of years. Got about 1700 records and I'd say between a third and a half of them are house

The Kings Of The Late Night - Fly Away (Theo Parrish Remix)

D'Pac With Terrence FM – Everybody

Ron Trent & Robert Owens – Deep Down

Mi Tue – More Than Friends (Underground Mix)

Rozzo - I Wish I Was a Black Cat

Dance by Earth People is potentially my favourite house track but looks like it's already been posted a couple of pages back.

Nice selection Chutnut

Not sure if I posted this one, early Felix Da Housecat B-side on Strictly Rhythm from 1993

Venus - Lippstikk

monkfromhavana

The whistling on this one has been rattling around my head all day.

Stravaganza - Get Me Over (Piano Mix)

Is this House?

Absolutely love the Seriously sample.

Denham and Borai Audio - Make Me

Bit of a bump, nice bit of obscure 1991 disco-sampling bumpin' house from Dego of 4 Hero.

Crunchy Nut Cornflakes - Don't You Dare (Let Go)

and the sample source

Clyde Alexander & Sanction - Got To Get Your Love

chutnut

Massive fan of that Clyde Alexander tune!
I've got this that samples it too:
shocking that its only got 40 views

monkfromhavana

I'm going to have to listen to that on something better than my work laptop :D

The stuff on Partners Inc is really good, it's basically all Dego and/or Mark from 4 Hero on a house tip. Must be there house sub-label, much like Reflective is their techno one.

Proactive

A couple from Manuel Darquart I've been absolutely rinsing for about a year. They've got a really lovely old school vibe about them.

Catalogue of ills

Lovely, floaty prog house on Omega Torra by Ewan Rill. The Nick Warren Soundgarden mix I heard it on is very excellent, and confirms my view that Warren is DON OF PROG. Going to have to check out more from Ewan Rill now

monkfromhavana

Shocker from me here as I am, for once, posting a brand new track rather than one that's 20+ years old.

Nick Stoynoff - Dalbana (Vince Watson's Retro Reshape Remix)

Fantastic track on the melodic house / techno tip.

Jump St. Man - B-Cause

Simple but a masterclass in production from Marshall Jefferson and sadly it only came out on an LP and some compilation albums, never got a full release on 12" other than a bootleg of a slightly different mix.

I spoke to Marshall about this track asking if he would re-issue it at some point but he's too busy with new productions nowadays after giving up DJing and moving back to the US.

There's a new double LP due from Ten City that he's produced that sounds incredible though.

An early classic:

Mr Fingers - Mystery Of Love

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tqErnknRsE

Recent bits:

Mark Seven - Freedom Dub

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ane1hSk1eBs

Al Bradley - Pale Blue Dot

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPJ1KKNyHeU

Scott Hallam - Kettle Crusader

What's interesting in recent House music releases is the 'getting back to basics' approach a lot of producers are now taking as from the early start of House in 1984/1985 it was always about stripped back rhythm tracks with just a drum machine and a bassline as the main basis.

We've kind of come full circle and a lot are now moving away from using LOTS of samples that will date the tracks and the stuff being put out now could easily be played along side the classics.

Digital version of it was out last year mainly as promo's

Vinyl release should be later this year, incredible tracks!

Proactive

Love this one and the other two tracks on the EP. It's a lovely lo-fi ish discoey gospely kind of thing with quite a mid to late 90s feel.

bushwick

A powerful piece of music that has helped me through some dark times. A faultless classic.

buttgammon

This one popped into my head for some reason, was the biggest tune on the planet at one point

buttgammon

Check out her recent album Quivering in Time too!

Vodkafone

Been tanning this one recently. Proper old skool feel, really good. I'm not totally sure but reckon this might be up @Better Midlands street

I'm a sucker for that Black Riot synth sound.

Been listening to a few of these darker, moodier US oldies lately

A couple of Todd Terry dubs

A strong Debbie Gibson piano dub I've never heard before

Munique

Classic Theo Parrish:

And slightly more recent, Shinichi Atobe. A seemingly simple/basic track, but, like the rest of the album, 'Heat', is ever so slightly off-centre and more alluring as a result. He's released a couple of albums since Heat, but that's his most consistent.

Key

Shinichi is great. His production is so very odd and plasticky but it somehow works.

Just listened to that album for the first time, real nice

So Good, So Right Part 2 is shit hot

I'm not sure if I've posted this here before, but I never get bored of it
