Pet Shop Boys - A Red Letter Day

('Like Christmas morning/ when you're a kid...')

"I went home and read my Christmas Humphreys book on Zen"

Cleaning Windows, Van Morrison

Greg Torso

William Shatner & Ben Folds - It Hasn't Happened Yet

I was crossing the snow fields in front of the Capital Building. It was Christmas and I was alone.

I relate to this song more and more with each gathering year.

The TMBG, Sparks, and Low titles are all Christmas songs to me at least, have all found a spot on my Christmas playlists.
For a TMBG selection that mentions Christmas but isn't a Christmas song, try Judy Is Your Viet Nam. Flansburgh has even said it "did start as a Christmas song, and then sort of veered a hard left."
My other pick is Devo's Space Junk, which mentions Christmas Eve as a date on which the titular junk fell to earth and killed.

Definitely a Christmas song. She mentions Christmas, trees, snow and carols, there's an ice skating theme throughout and she even plays a couple of bars of Jingle Bells at the end.

Tom Waits' 'Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis', unless that actually is a Christmas song. I wouldn't have it on while my granny unwraps her presents anyway.

Yeah, have always thought of it as just a melancholy song that happens to have a Christmassy theme, but you've got me bang to rights... too Christmassy for this thread.

The Hold Steady - 'One for the Cutters'. Definitely not a Christmas song, and Christmas is only mentioned right at the end.

Almost forgot about one that our Barry introduced me to:
MC Chris - Fucking Up My Christmas

LORD BAD VIBE

'Child Psychology' by Black Box Recorder.

The November day when I came home
The Christmas decorations were already up
Spray on snow, coloured flashing lights
And an artificial tree that played Silent Night
Over and over again
My parents welcomed me with loving arms
But within an hour were back at each others throats
Normal, happy childhood back on course
