For those who like the more post punk Fall of the early years, The Blue Orchids were formed by Martin Bramah and fellow ex Fall members, keyboardist Una Baines, and guitarist Rick Goldstraw.

Well worth checking out

Oh, and a little Fall-related thing . . .

It's pretty crazy that it's actually remained a secret, given the yappity nature of Fall fans for the merest scrap of oddball gossip (we're joking . . . a little) but the oft-brutal nature of being in The Fall forged band member alliances which transcend the actual period the members were in The Fall.

Martin Bramah was the band's first vocalist (MES was originally the guitarist!), but when they swapped places, it was Bramah's sound which shaped the original style of The Fall and influenced the many later iterations of the band which existed without him. Bramah rejoined The Fall for Extricate and played with long-standing bassist Steve Hanley and drummer Simon Wolstencroft during that period. Later, Bramah, Hanley and his brother, drummer Paul Hanley, played as Factory Star for a spell. Many years after that, Pete Greenway joined the band as a guitarist, and though - to our knowledge - he never played with any of the above, Bramah and the others reckoned he was one of the best late-period Fall players and, well . . . you can probably tell where all this is leading.

The five former-Fall members have joined together as HOUSE Of ALL and recorded what will be seen as the best extra-curricular creations by any conglomeration of more than a single Fall member since The Greatest Hit (Money Mountain).

Their self-titled album will be released sometime in late Spring 2023, and we're planning a number of special events, including a very limited run of live shows to celebrate this unexpected coming together of former soldiers of The Fall. Now talk amongst yourselves!

Thanks for supporting the label. We've worked hard to put forth unusual and attractive records however we can do, and the many of you who have stuck by us is truly heartening, as we've (probably stupidly) never looked at the possibility of financial return as a factor in doing what we do . . . to our occasional detriment! The announcement of a wholly-unforeseen and faaantastic release like this one is due in majority part to your faith and patronage.

Keep buying the records, friends!
