Nowhere Man

A damn fine actor has passed on, aged 80.

A bit scooby doo villainesque in Twin Peaks but honestly he was one of my favourite parts in Season 2. If his character had been written more like he was in the S2 finale he would probably be much more fondly thought of (his character, not the actor!)

Quite a number of Twin Peaks alumni have now passed on since The Return

Miguel Ferrier (Albert)
Catherine Coulson (Margaret/The Log Lady)
Warren Frost (Doc Hayward)
Peggy Lipton (Norma Jennings)
Harry Dean Stanton (Carl)
Walter Olkewicz (Jacques Renault)
Robert Foster (Sherriff Frank Truman)
Clark Middleton (Charlie, aka Audrey's 'husband')
Brent Biscoe (Detective Det Macklay)
Ect.

Claude the Racecar Driving Rockstar Super Sleuth

Windom Earle was an awful character. All the worse for how far he falls short of Cooper's description of him. I understand why it would be his most famous role, but Welsh deserves to be remembered for something else - Lodge 49, for example.

I saw some schlocky DTV horror film on Prime recently. Nothing to write home about, but Welsh was effectively creepy as the villain. He gives a bunch of speeches that would make perfect samples for a DJ Shadow tune.
