Only thing missing is the bit you can chew on and it gets all fucked up.

Where'd you get that Heather? Hook a sister up.

Elderly Sumo Prophecy

A model of Ash from Evil Dead that has a motion sensor, so it says "Groovy" and "Well hello Mr Fancypants" when you walk past it.

A Bioshock Little Sister Funko Pop (they missed a trick by not having its eyes glow yellow in the dark).

A load of 80's/90's Micro Machines in the garage somewhere.

The Mollusk

When I was about 13 I had a load of the Final Fantasy VIII figurines including Ifrit and the big fuckoff Odin on his horse. Being a stupid twat however I took them out of the boxes and probably strapped them to fireworks or chucked them at trains or something, either way they're not here with me now and the big boys are worth a fair whack of money these days. They would have little worth to my home decor aesthetic any more and I would have sold them in a heartbeat.

I've also got a carrier bag with about 50 original Monster in My Pockets in a box somewhere if that counts. Those things are awesome, I love the character designs.

My partner has a boxed talking Jareth from Labyrinth which is also worth a decent amount now. I wish she'd sell it because it's big and ugly and I hate that stupid fucking film.

Stoneage Dinosaurs

I really want to get myself a MIDI sequencer. Those are toys right? They must be, they have multicoloured buttons that light up when you press them.

You can't do anything with figures, at most you move their limbs around a bit. That's boring why would you want a figure when there's games, films and tv shows. Even books are more interesting.

Thank you for asking but no I do not own toys, for the obvious reason.

One shouldn't make their enjoyment of popular culture a trait of one's personality. One should not be proud of the kind of media they consume. It is best to keep that entirely to yourself. You may allow yourself to admit you enjoy Marvel movies to your wife only on your deathbed. These things are best kept quiet, otherwise you end up living in a society in which grown men talk openly about their favourite Funko Pops on the internet.

I do own many cuddly toys and routinely cuddle them at night in my bed and i pretend they have voices and there is one i made myself called red bear who calls me daddy and i love him more than almost anything in this world, but that is entirely different.

Vini Reilly turns to 'Unorthodox Inspiration' for new Durrutti Column recordings.

Have loads of scientifically accurate dinosaur figures. Very sophisticated.

Quote from: madhair60 on May 09, 2022, 02:51:35 PMsilly thread maybe but I wondered if anyone had any figures, funkos, toys etc that they value or keep around. I'll post pics but I recently bought Pop Up Parade figures of Vtubers (don't start) Inugami Korone and Nekomata Okayu, because I love the characters and their streams got me through the lockdown when I was alone for months.

I also have a bunch of Kirbys, some K-On plushes and Funko Pops of Kylo Ren and Cayde-6.

Yeah I'm never gonna have sex again, I know. :)

Anyway, do you have any branded tat that brings you joy?
I don't really collect Funko Pops but I do have Sonic and Tails toys from back in the day. And a Pusheen my mum gave me, a toy Doraemon, and Marvin the Moose (the mascot for Cambridge United, my parents' old local team).

I also have my old childhood teddies, Martha and Nikolai (a polar bear), along with Fred, my brother's old teddy, and Billy the badger, who Mum bought for me when we were on holiday in Guernsey.

What baffles me is when people on the internet see a post they have no interest in and can't contribute to, but go ahead and open it and hit 'reply' anyway.

I have a few remnants of childhood detritus stashed away. I think there's a talking Dalek and some old diecast trains collecting dust somewhere. Boxed away.

I had a talking Dalek in what would have been the late 70s/early 80s and it stopped talking so my dad opened it up to try and fix it. It was a partial success, but it blew my mind that the talking was done by a tiny record player inside the Dalek.
