Hey, if you're a fan of Deerhoof (and, frankly, you should be) you might enjoy these interviews with Greg Saunier, as I did a lot. He's such a genial, lovely sounding and funny guy.

I particularly enjoyed the middle one which covers the era of the band from Reveille to Friend Opportunity - the bits about

recording Milkman by painstakingly cutting and pasting samples of Queen and Wadado Leo Smith and the tour with Radiohead where Deerhoof just turned up in a rented car with their two drums and bass cabinet and the security wouldn't let them in

being highlights.

I've loved this band for two decades and it's nice to hear some affirming stories about budgetary restraints leading creative work-arounds and good people getting the success they deserve,

It's a good podcast actually. If you're into the noise weird rock scene of 90s+ he interviews David Yow, Shannon Selberg, Jarboe, folks from Steel Pole Bath Tub, Unsane, Tad, Cows and etc.

Thank you Greg(s)!

Thanks to all Gregs, all where!

Been listening to a few more of these and was overjoyed when the guys from the Cherubs referenced Des O'Connor's "dick a dum dum".

Nice one for flagging this, Greg Torso! Haven't gotten to the Saunier ones yet as working through some older episodes first and enjoyed Albini and Eugene Robinson so far. The latter has reminded me just how fantastic Oxbow were. Outrageously overlooked pioneers!
